It's that time again!

Open house for Alex and Avery was held yesterday! Even though it is at a new location, the same wonderful director and teachers are there to take care of our little girls!

They went right in and found some toys that they like!
Autumn and her friend Catherine with Mrs. Charlotte, we LOVE Mrs. Charlotte!

Mrs. Pauline taught Autumn and Austin and now will have Alex in her classroom! She has this magnet on her file cabinet, it is of Austin when she taught him:)

We love all of these ladies and have since Autumn was a tiny little girl and went there too. Both Autumn and Austin graduated from there and now Alex will at the end of this year. We enjoy this Church pre-school and they enjoy having us with them. Avery had the same teachers for two years in a row because they moved up with her but this year she has a new teacher. She didn't like that too much but will get used to it quickly. We all went to check out the new school and see their new classrooms. They have a very nice playground and can't wait to get them started. Little ones love to learn.

This is Avery's door decoration!

And this is Alex's door decoration. The monkey with Alex on it is the blurred one, pooh... I'll take another picture next time I am there!
Austin went to overnight Church camp Friday and Saturday nights taking a small break on Saturday for Baseball tryouts! He hit awesome and fielded well too! We are waiting to hear what team he gets on. Tracy's phone and internet has been out all weekend after the storm on Friday. She will be updating her blog soon!

Love to all and hope your week is just MAH-VELOUS Dahling!

Tracy, I saved the picture and rotated and it came out fine! Not sure why it stayed crooked for you! LU MOM

Tricycle hunt, funny story!

We have a tricycle that we bought for Autumn before she was even old enough to ride it. All the grandchildren have had their turn on it. Well, Alex and Avery love it now and they have to take turns. I got an email from one of the Estate Sale companies that I follow and there didn't appear to be much I was interested in but this little tricycle. OK, I'll shoot off down there and would pay $10-$15 for it. Notice I said it was little, this is how little it was. Doll size... I had to laugh. That is my cellphone to show the size:)
I had driven an hour or more because I got lost and had to use my GPS on my cellphone. It did pretty good, even told me to make a u-turn several times. I guess I didn't read it quite right:)
Now this Estate Sale turned out to be several families in one BIG HUGE WAREHOUSE.
I didn't buy the tiny tricycle but bought ALL this stuff for less than $40. OMG, some really good stuff!
I had to forget about all the work I did this week to clean out all the stuff I have... that I have too much of! The stuff was priced really low and well... you can tell I had a great time! Here is one item that I bought for $2, I didn't even care what it was, could tell the writing was German. Wasn't sure if it was tiny liquor bottles or what but they were pretty and there were TEN of them for $2? Heck yeah, SOLD! Here is what I found them listed for on EBAY...
Echt Kolnisch Wasser 4711 Cologne Lot Set Box 10 MiniStore: Chasing Baden's World $34.95 Holy crap! I paid not much more than that for all that stuff!

Not to bore you with all the details of each piece! I have several followers as crazy about all this as I am. Never knew anyone like that existed until I started blogging (Thanks Kelly)! The most I spent for any item was $5 for this bowl... HEAVY and beautiful, no chips or cracks:)
These little beauties $3, $1 each! They are sooooo pretty.
Each of these items are special and beautiful and I have a plan for most. Look at this little fishing dude, $1!
There is an ink pen in the shape of a hammer, the little stool (shown in the picture of all the stuff)was $2. It was orange and no it doesn't match a thing I have but I will cover it or something:) Tiny teapot, tiny bowl and pitcher, Mickey Mouse in an airplane $1 each!
Look at this ashtray made out of Mexican coins, nope don't smoke but it is heavy gold-$1... a really unique item.
And last but not least, also $5... this beautiful lamp. Almost forgot about it because it was in the back of the car. Isn't it gorgeous, perfect condition.
Had a ball, all by myself... lost and didn't even care. It doesn't take much to make me happy! What started out to be a trip for a tricycle turned into a doggone good Estate Sale shopping trip! Love you all and have a blessed day!

How blessed can one family be?

We are FAMILY! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful loving family who cares so much about each other! We all love each other so much and are a huge part of each others' lives. Now, there are a bunch of us and it doesn't matter... the oldest to the youngest, we love and enjoy each other! We had a Birthday luncheon yesterday for my oldest sister, Barbara... we call her Nanny, some call her Barbo. Whatever you call her, just make it sweet! That is what she is and totally enjoyed her birthday! Big crowd at our favorite Chinese Buffet. Followers who have been around awhile have seen us here before!

This is me and my sweet Sister! She and I are EXTREMELY close! I talk to her EVERY day without fail! I love her and she loves me and that's the way it's suppose to be:) A memory I have as a little kid is that she would put money in my purse and let me think I FOUND it:) When she graduated from high school and said she was getting married, I remember crying! I loved her then just like I do now! Ahhhh the memories!

Today is our Mama's Birthday, she has been gone for 21 years and it seems like yesterday in some ways! Years can't take the love away though or the memories! Happy Birthday Mama! We ALL love you! She would have been 84 today!Love to all and have a blessed day!

Happy Birthday and Roosters 'R Us!

Happy Birthday to my Dear Sweet Sister, Barbara! I love you and hope your Birthday is an extra special one!!!!! This is one of my favorite pictures of the two of us! Don't this little one, me, kinda look like Avery? Lunch today with the family, yippeee!

Now... it is cockadoodledoo day too! BellaVista is hosting the Rooster Party... http://barbsgoodlife.blogspot.com/ Roosters, Roosters everywhere! (AND Chickens) When I decorated my new kitchen, now 7 years old, I wanted to use roosters and chickens because they are so colorful. I am getting tired of it and looking to redecorate but thankfully they are all still roosting for this party!
My tape dispenser...
This is where I keep my vegetable oil...

Got this little coffee set while cleaning out a house for a friend whose Grandmother had passed away... (with my Sister Cindylou).

Tiny plates that I bought in Madison Georgia!
Measuring spoons...

And this little fella guards my poolhouse! There is a real rooster that crows in the background:) SWEET SOUNDS! Most of these were gifts, housewarming, Christmas, Birthday etc. I love them all and don't know if I will be able to pack them away!

Hope you have enjoyed pecking around in my kitchen full of cluckers! That's what I should have titled this post "blog for cluckers"! HeHe:)

Treasures found, Ballgame and Prayer request!

I found this little cookbook in My Dad's things, I will start cooking some of the recipes and post about them. Click on this and read the little poem!
The best part was the two recipes I found in the back, Bread and Butter Pickles...
And Red Pepper Relish:) Folded and put there by my Dad for safe keeping:)

This little English Grammar book.... wrapped up in tin foil! Very fragile!
1878:)

Pleasant and Profitable Farming...
The Little Prince and Alice in Wonderland!

These were all books that I ran across and know how some of you love old books!

Previous purchases that I am just getting around to using! I bought two of these cuties recently $1.00 each!

I ordered this on EBAY a LONG time ago! It is an original Yosef or something like that! I just loved it and had to have it whatever it was called!

I bought this shelf about 7 years ago and couldn't decide where to put it, I just decided:) It is hanging in my bedroom with these little treasures on it!
I bought two pictures $1.00 each! They now are hanging in my bedroom.
And then, after staying at home AGAIN all day yesterday... off to the ballfield stopping at the playground first. Alex having fun!
Avery taking a slide:)
Austin just hanging out!
And Autumn doing what she does! They lost tonight by one run but played a great game! As the old saying goes "you can't win 'em all"!

I have a prayer request for a friend of mind! Teresa has had brain cancer and fought it for 4 1/2 years. She got the news today that the Chemo is no longer working. She is signing up for Hospice today and her time may be short, only God knows that! Please pray for her and her family! She has really had a tough time over these years but has kept fighting!
I know she is tired!

Love to all and have a blessed day!
