Lunch with Friends and visit from the little girls!

Marc and I were treated to Lunch at Longhorn with friends who we both worked with over the years. The fella on the right and Marc have been friends for much of the 38 years that he worked. They traveled a lot on business trips and had lots of funny stories to share. It was so much fun, we laughed and laughed! Marc got more gifts and lots of hugs!

Left to right, Lynn, Sherry, Angie, Me and Marc, Chuck, Judy and Dick!

We stopped by the office to pick up the retirement pictures and books! We visited with friends! Then home and had these little special visitors! They ate dinner with us and played outside just as long as we would let them. They LOVE to be outside! Avery riding the bike:)

Alex doing some tricks on the scooter!
Tired and ready for bed! We have tournaments this weekend and the weather may not cooperate! Hugs to all of you and hope you have a fabulous Friday!

Please pray for all of our Marines! Our Justin and Julie's Justin are both in different parts of Afghanistan! Thanks for the prayers, my friends! Love you all!

I was looking back thru my pictures from this wonderful trip and wanted to share some more of them. It was one of those trips that I will never forget!

How beautiful, an old buggy filled with flowers!
Love these old buildings! I actually checked on staying here!

We shopped in this Antique Store! Jodie found some goodies:)

More old buildings with balconies!

Love this bridge!

City Market sign is even worthy of having it's picture taken...

This City Market is beautiful, I could have sat here for hours...

Have a blessed day my friends! Love you all!

Old Beauties!

We started out our Tuesday at the Ford Dealership! Nope, this isn't Marc's new truck! Isn't this a beauty? Sitting right inside the showroom, it is gorgeous! He got a really nice truck, by the time they cleaned it up and we got out of there the day was half gone. But... he now has his very own ride again:)
Then off to my Dad's place, these are the azaleas that my Mama planted so many years ago. She passed away 21 years ago and they were planted long before that! Aren't they just gorgeous? My Brother pulled out his pocket knife and cut me a bouquet, it is sitting on my counter and I love it:)

Check out that hot pink against the blue sky!

This will always be home to me!

My Brother, Marshall had the fields bushhogged yesterday and it looks beautiful! My Dad loved it when the field was cut! Well, then the grass around the house needed a fresh trim. Marc and I loaded up the lawn mowers and gave it a good cutting!
It was a full day, and a really good one! Full of old memories and making new ones. I pray that today is a great day for each of you!

Love you all! Hugs and prayers!

To do list and out of the mouths of babes!

I had so many things on my "to do" list and I marked them off one by one. I had insurance calls to make, cleaning and unpacking ALL of the WAY TOO many clothes that I took to the beach! I say I am not going to do it and I do it anyway! I love having choices of what to wear. It is not me to take one thing for each night, or day! Gotta have a bunch but REALLY? It took me a lot of time to hang all of the clothes up that I didn't wear! OK, enough about that! I stayed in and stayed busy all morning! It felt good to get things done! And then the afternoon was more fun:)

Tracy needed me to pick Alex and Avery up from school on Monday! When I got there, they had big smiles on their faces and were so glad to see me! We came home, they both wanted Spaghetti and Meatballs for lunch. While I was getting the table set for them, fixing their drink etc. Alex asked me "How old are you Ganky"? I said, I am 55. She said really loud WOW, Ganky, that's old! I giggle and she came right back with "Now I'm not saying you're an old lady or anything"! :) Love those babies!

Here they were on a caterpillar hunt:)

Alex was having a conversation with Pa, she says "I heard Ganky is taking you to return the rental car. How are you gonna get to work?" Short pause, "oh that's right, your work is over"!

Avery enjoying the alligator that Pa received from one of his friends at the retirement party!
I cooked spaghetti for dinner and we settled in to watch Dancing with the Stars, a little blogging and Braves! Praying for my Justin and getting him a package ready!

Love you all and have a terrific Tuesday!

Beauty at home and a missing tooth!

Oh the beautiful flowers blooming when I returned from my trip!
Giant blooms on my snowball bush!

This rose bush has so many buds!

When all of these pop... OMG how beautiful it will be!

This precious angel lost her first tooth Sunday and she called me to tell me. I forwarded my calls to my cell phone because she calls me EVERY day! Today was no different except that she had news about her tooth. I dumped my luggage and ran over to see it and picked up my mail. She was so excited, had it in a ziploc bag and was ready for the tooth fairy. Getting away was really nice but coming home to see this sweet face was nicer!Back to the routine today! Lots on my list of things to do and I'll get it done one thing at a time! Have a blessed day my friends,
I love you all!

Dreary weather at the beach but still good!

The weather wasn't so perfect on Saturday. I took off walking, Marc tried to jog... so we went our seperate ways. My plan was to walk about 1.5 miles to the shopping area, do my shopping and walk back. Well, it started sprinkling a little and while I was shopping, AND it RAINED. I just kept shopping until it quit raining:) Then Marc and I walked back together. He knew where I was going and caught up with me there. We rode and measured how far we walked and jogged and back to the condo. Rode by the lighthouse, mailed Justin a card and then we laid around like lazy bums, watched the Braves lose and a wedding on the beach!

We found a baby stingray Friday while walking.

This was our view on our Friday walk, we walked way down on the end of the island where there was nobody.

There were lots of jellyfish on the beach.

This was one of the shells that I found.

I have been taking pictures of flags while I have been here, thinking about Justin! You have to look hard to see this one on the porch!

We went to eat at Stingrays, packing up to come home today! It is always nice to have such a wonderful vacation but feels good to get home too. I MUST keep up my walking when I get back. NO excuses while I was at the beach and there won't be any when I get back!

Hey everybody, go check out my daughter's ETSY shop! She is making some wonderful jewelry! Her button is in my sidebar or you can go see her here! Tell her you're my friend:)

Love you all and I'll be back in my hometown later today! Lots to do at home! Have a blessed day dear friends!

Friday in Tybee!

Footprints in the sand!

Pa relaxing with his coffee and a crossword puzzle first thing Friday morning!

I love these huge boats coming in and out! Dolphin picture #1

Dolphin picture #2

Dolphin picture #3

This is how far we walked Friday morning...total
3.5 miles Which is way a lot for me:) I enjoyed it so much, we walked down on the sidewalk. It was shaded, beautiful flowers AND lots of places for sale:) Then we walked back on the beach. Oh, my legs were so sore. We did a grocery run and ate lunch in the room. Out to the beach for the rest of the day. I started reading a book! I spent hours picking up shells and got some really pretty ones and some are just interesting to me.

We went to several places meaning something to someone... Hmmmm wonder who this one is for?

So, this is Autumn and Austin in 2001...

And here I am with the same little dude in 2010... It is memories like this that I cherish:)
I was so excited to find this statue! The place has changed some but the dude is still the same.

Have a blessed day! Love you all!

No title is good enough for this post!

We had the BEST day ever! Half of the day was spent with Karen and Jodie in Savannah, walking, shopping and laughing!
I love these stairs, I love these ladies with me at the top of these stairs! It was so hard to say goodbye! Not knowing how long it will be until I see them again, but I WILL see them again! Karen lives in California and Jodie lives in Louisiana! Oh what fun it was to meet you girls! Love you both!
This little boat means a lot to me, Autumn and Austin played on it... now Alex and Avery need a turn!

The second half of the day was spent on Tybee Island, sitting on the beach... the waves crashing in the background, the seagulls making whatever noise that is that they make and NOT A SINGLE CLOUD IN THE SKY! Gorgeous day, busy and fun morning, relaxing afternoon!

Marc and I had lunch at the restaurant at the hotel where we are staying! It was wonderful! The best hamburger EVER! Then we walked about a 100 miles, well not really but it sure seemed like it. I told him I thought I pulled a hamstring, we walked so far:) It felt good to get some exercise! We kept walking until I got a picture of the lighthouse!
This is one happy, relaxed, retired fella!
Oh, How I love that sound!

The weather is perfect down here and I can't wait to get out on the deck with some hot coffee, ahhh sweet morning! Love you all, have a blessed day!
