Repost from 1/31/10

I could change the dates and nobody would know the difference!  Well, Justin isn't in Afghanistan and today isn't Sunday but still!  I have been looking back to "one year ago" and decided to repost this one!  I didn't have a lot to talk about today, Church was great, weather was wonderful again but no pictures!  Hope your Monday is a great one!

Please note this is a repost... 1/31/10:)
My Saturdays have been pretty much the same recently. Only thing different yesterday was I slept until 8AM. It was nice to sleep in but I missed a few hours of sitting and doing nothing, sipping coffee and blogging:) Anyway, finished taping Justin's package and off to the post office. There are usually a bunch of people there. I think the USPS really did a huge thing to offer flat rate shipping. It appears they got a lot of business out of it, especially for the military families. The box I use is $2.00 off. So, instead of $14, it is $12. After standing in line to mail the package, chatting with people... making sure I mention Justin's name and ask them to pray for him. Hey, strangers can pray too:) On to Target for popcorn and off to Austin's ballgame. His team won again, not a very high scoring game but exciting just the same.
Also, Alex and Avery always enjoy being there... having snacks and playing. Alex is making a heart with her fingers... sweetie! Avery has on one of my favorite sweaters. They love those ring pops. I bought a bag of them at the dollar store. 25cents each and there's no telling what they charge at the concession stand! Had to post this picture of Avery giving her Mama a big kiss:)
Autumn was there with her friend Rylee. Rylee is the other pitcher on the ball team. They practice on Saturday so off they go! Austin has guitar lessons on Saturday afternoon, so the two little ones came home with me for some playtime. When Tracy rang the doorbell to pick them up, Alex said "that better NOT be Mama"! They love their Mama but they just weren't finished playing.

So, my blogger friends... off to Church this morning. It is cold and damp here in Georgia, no snow... just rain. Chilly, damp, cold! Have a blessed day!

Hope you enjoyed hearing what I was doing on 1/31/10... sounds much like this past weekend:)  Life is good!  Love you all!

Surprise in my mailbox and a PERFECT day!

I won a giveaway from my sweet friend Sharon at My Vintage Studio this past week!  She wasted NO time in sending me these absolutely most precious HAND MADE gift tags!

 And this sweetest notepad!
Thank you so much Sharon for these gorgeous beauties and this extra gift too:)  I was so excited to open the mailbox and see the package, couldn't wait to open it!  Aren't packages in the mailbox so fun?

My Saturday started out as most of them do lately, at Austin's basketball game!  We had extra fans at the game, Sisters, Cindy and Brenda and Nephew Bradley came to watch!  Austin's team WON AGAIN!  Go Austin!  It is hard to watch the game because we have little ones entertaining us!  They found somewhere to hide...

Marc and I left the game and went to Lowe's, he needed some hardware and I am shopping for a rug!  Tracy texted me to say that they were stopping at our NEW park to let the little ones play!  Girls it was the most beautiful day, sun was shining and it was 65 degrees!  The park was full of locals having fun on a beautiful Saturday!

Alex told her Mama "this is the best park EVER"!

Take a look at that BLUE sky!

Now it is Sunday and I'll be heading to Church shortly!  Hope your Sunday will be extremely blessed!  HUGS!

I buy things and forget:)

Some time ago I bought this quesadilla maker and just simply forgot about it!  It was marked down to $6.00 and I just couldn't pass it up!  When I was getting ready to make our Mexican Fiesta for dinner last night, a light bulb went off!  I remembered the purchase and EXACTLY where it was:)

I loaded it up with goodies...

AND YUMMY was the result!

Add in some jalapenos, cheese dip and salsa... deliciosio!

That's all I have this morning!  Hope you have a wonderful Saturday planned!  HUGS

I tried to skip a day, well here I am...

Every time I try to skip a day... well, something makes me post:)  This was the culprit yesterday!  Cindy brought Avery by for a short visit until Tracy came back from picking the kids up!  Her hair has some serious electricity!  She is PRECIOUS, we giggled and had lots of fun and snuggle time!  The kids come in and head straight to the pantry!  Avery wanted a brownie and then spicy chips (Doritos) and plain milk:)

When I walked them out, lookie here at my beautiful camellia blooming!

Here is the one that bloomed during the snow, it is still there and even though it is dead... I still think it is pretty!

Here is the same flower in the previous picture blooming in the snow!

Hope you all have a wonderfully blessed Friday!  HUGS!

To the movies and down I went!

Marc and I went to see this movie, great movie!  My Step-daughter Marcy and her husband Mike gave us movie tickets for Christmas!
It was a cold rainy day outside... a GREAT day for a movie!  WELL, the parking lot was wet and slick!  We are walking quickly to the movie, I had my purse on one arm while holding the umbrella with the other!  As my Brother would say "and down I went"!
slipping on ice Pictures, Images and Photos
I seemed to be OK, pants were wet and leg was sore but NOTHING appeared to be broken:)  When I told my Sister, Cindy about it... She reminded me of when I ripped my toenail off on the movie theater door two summers ago!  Perhaps I better stick with DVDs:))  So, at least I have seen ONE of the movies nominated for an Academy Award!  OH and don't you just love that popcorn at the movies!  Pa and I got a ginormous bag of buttered popcorn and munched and munched and munched!  There were 4 people in the theater, 2 of the 4 were US:)

That was it for my Tuesday, Fridge is back working great and food back in!  I am taking the kids to school this morning!  Gotta run!  Have a blessed day dear friends!  BIG HUGS!

Family picture day and fridge update...

We only do this occasionally!  Most of the people in the picture probably don't like to go for the family portrait BUT they go, they smile and so do I!  There is a volunteer fire department close by, they come by for a donation and we get a free 10x13 portrait.  Well, we got lots of new pictures!

Pa and I got our pictures made with 4 of the grandchildren!  Love my grand-younguns!

Here is the one I have had hanging in the foyer for many years and I still love it!  No Avery yet:(

Refrigerator update!  FIXED, $254 Motherboard had to be replaced!  5 year warranty on the part:)  And this is the part that caused so much trouble.
See that little black burn spot, yep... that was the trouble!  So, we're chillin' this morning!  He said it takes 24 hours to get good and cold!  I'll be moving all of my STUFF back to the inside fridge this morning!

Hope you all have a blessed day, it is a rainy one here in Georgia!  HUGS!

Mama said "there'd be days like this"!

Do you remember that song?  (Mama said "there'd be days like this"!)  Well I sang it MANY times Sunday morning!  I got my morning groove going, sipped my coffee, went back for another cup... WHAT is that wet spot on the floor?  OMG, water was coming from under the fridge!  The day went downhill from there!  The freezer was not cooling and as it turned out, neither was the fridge!  I worked at getting the water cleaned up, moved everything worth saving to the fridge in the garage and dismantled everything, washed everything and worked my booty off!  No Church for me, I was busy trying to save my food!

My honey tried to work on it!  I must have said many times, "I'll just call a repairman"... he would keep trying!  Well, after a full day of messing with it, I called a repairman.  They'll be out this morning!  It is completely cleaned out, washed down and ready to be fixed!

We cleaned the back too!  It was dust bunny heaven back there!

AND I had dishpan hands:(  I washed not only ALL of the shelves and drawers, but all of the doo-dads on top of the fridge and MANY leftover dishes that needed to be cleaned out!  Why do I put leftovers in there?  We seldom eat them!  At least I used this and it has OLAY in it!

So... what started out as a peaceful, normal Sunday morning turned into something MUCH different!  A couple of things to be thankful for in all of this!  I had another refrigerator to move my food to and I wasn't out of town when it happened!  Hopefully it will be something simple!

Hope your Sunday was perfect!  Have a blessed day, HUGS!

Saturday basketball and a birthday dinner!

Saturday morning basketball game, Austin won again!  I believe they are undefeated!  Austin is one of the tallest on his team and played pretty much the whole game.  He was tired at the end of the game!

This is my Brother-in-law, Jerry!  He has been married to my Sister, Barbara my whole life!  He is such a good guy and helps anyone who needs him without complaint!  Happy 71st Birthday Jerry!  Two Sisters, Cindy and Brenda cooked him a Birthday Dinner last night and I went to take his gift, wink wink... but just had to taste their cooking!  YUMMY as always!

Jerry said he had to blow the candles out quickly, they were flaming!

Creative Sisters putting the 71 on the cake... 71 candles would be a little too many!

Off to Church, home for Football!  Hope you have a wonderfully blessed Sunday!  HUGS!

INK spells FUN!

INK Field trip!  It is an Interactive Children's Museum in Gainesville Ga!  It was a really neat and fun trip!  Tracy drove and we had a lovely chat on the long ride!

There are a number of different stations in this small city!  This is the Beauty Shop and Alex really enjoyed it!  I think it was her favorite!

A grocery store where you fill your cart and checked out at the register!

An Animal Clinic fully equipped to take care of the animals!  Alex picked a big one:)

And Alex picked a little one...

There was a Cafe where they could take orders and serve their parents!

A huge fire truck that the kids got to drive:)

Police vehicles to ride...

Cows to milk...

Lemonade to sell..

Airplanes to fly...

Dentist office small scale... open wide Alex:)

Tracy thought this was really funny!  She said I almost need a booster seat:)  Read the sign!

Thanks Tracy and Alex for inviting me to tag along on the field trip!

Fun, fun day at INK!
Happy Saturday dear friends!  BIG HUGS!
