End is near....

After FOUR years in the Marine Corps, TWO tours in Afghanistan and many dangerous days... MY NEPHEW Justin will be coming home tomorrow!  Many of you have prayed for him, asked about him and encouraged me over these FOUR years!  Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!  Just one more 7 hour trip down that road from Camp Legeune!  Drive safe Justin, don't speed... you have the rest of your life in front of you! 

Thank you for your service and sacrifice!

Oh they're pretty, but...

I watched this tomato grow, and eventually turn red!  I was so excited to eat the first ripe tomato!

Oh NO...  Look what was on the other side!  Blossom end rot!  Headed out to Lowe's for some STOP ROT!  Hope it corrects the problem because I LOVE my tomatoes!

We are getting PLENTY of cucumbers and a few zucchini!  One of the cucumber plants grows REALLY long ones!

I am heading outside with my cup of HOT coffee to check out my garden this morning!  Enjoy your day dear friends, HUGS!

Late day fun...

Tracy and I decided to have a late afternoon Memorial Day swim and picnic!  We each shopped our pantry and fridge to put together the menu!  It was kinda fun to use what we had with only one small trip to Kroger:)  They got in the car and Munson jumped in wanting to come also!  He just marched right in and

enjoyed watching everyone play!

On the road again...

We made a quick trip to Spartanburg this weekend for a College showcase ball tournament! Colleges come and watch, make notes about players that they would
like to have on their teams!

Just ONE more week...

ONE week from today, MY NEPHEW Justin will be home... NOT for a visit but FOREVER!  I can't wait to have him home!  I know that the future is bright for this young man!  We will be celebrating Britani and Bradley's Birthday next Saturday AND Justin will be there with us!  
I am SO excited! 

Seeing ALL the flags displayed for Memorial Day makes my heart smile!  I hope something is making your heart smile on this gorgeous Saturday morning!

Three in one gift...

My precious Daughter gave me THREE purses for my Birthday earlier this month and I have sure enjoyed them!  Last year on one of the field trips, I saw a purse that I just loved!  I asked the lady where she got it and she shared a business card with me!  I looked at them on line but never bought one!  Tracy remembered how much I loved it and bought me THAT purse for my Birthday!

I had a great Wednesday, running errands, doing a little shopping and got new contacts!  Beautiful weather here in the South!  Hope you are enjoying the day where you are!  HUGS!

Beep, beep... back up!

Not too much exciting to talk about around here!  I spent much of my Tuesday pulling my pictures from my Passport (portable storage device)!  When my computer decided to quit on me, I didn't even get a chance to transfer my most important things... MY PICTURES!  Fortunately last year, I bought a tiny Passport with LOTS of storage!  So...26,767 files later and a long time gone from my day, I now have my pictures on my new laptop!  It took me a while to get it started because it was the first time pulling from it, instead of pushing to it!  Anyway... that is much of what I did!

Now, I am going to give you ladies some advice!  Where your charger cord plugs into the computer... DON'T wiggle it too much when you unplug it!  Eventually it will come loose from the motherboard and you will have TROUBLES like I did!  I had many conversations about this with people who know computers... it is very common and quite costly!  My husband has dismantled my old one and I am ordering a $5.00 part to replace!  Hmmmm, wonder if it will ever work again?

Right now it is scattered ALL over my bar in the kitchen! 

He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor's and Master's in Electrical Engineering!  Computers?  Not so much but he is pretty darn smart:)  Just back up your computer, I am happy that I did!

Games and a Party!

Let's start with the GOOD news!  We had a weekend full of tournaments!  Autumn's team Won and Won and Won and Won and Won...  We had LATE nights and early mornings and LOTS of games!  They played their best games, beat the best teams most all weekend!

 Sunday afternoon I left the ballgames to attend my Great Nephew's Graduation Party!  It was wonderful!  My Niece, Crystal and her two Sons!  She reminds me a lot of myself!  She struggled to raise the two boys, working hard and sacrificing things she needed so they could have what they needed!  And NOW she has found her Prince Charming and life seems to be really going her way!  There are still some good fellas left out there, she found hers in James!

 She put SO much work into this party!  Making most ALL of the decorations and food herself!  Yummy food!

 She put together this board of SO many memories!  I loved looking at each one!

This is my Brother and Sister-in-Law June!  I LOVE my Brother and he has really had a hard time lately!  He had a motorcycle injury to his foot about 40 years ago and it has been giving him lots of problems lately!  If would please whisper a prayer for him,

 AND then at the end of the day... this team, Autumn's Softball team lost their last two games!  It was a real heart breaker!  They came in second, got a huge trophy but they were VERY disappointed!  I understand their feelings BUT they won ALL weekend
except these last two games!

I have been away from the computer and have GOT some catching up to do!
