Sometimes I look back...

Do you ever look back while looking ahead?  I will try to explain!  Autumn's Fella is getting ready to go away to College!  I know that she is going to miss him terribly!  He came to watch her play ball the other night and I watched him watch her!  I started thinking about when she finishes High School and takes that same path!  She still has two years of School left, but time flies right on by!  We have followed her around since she was a little ball player and will continue into her college years!  Where I am going with this rambling is this little one, standing at the fence is following in her big Sister's path!  She watched from the fence as a baby... Alex loves the game... just like her big Sister!

She plays and practices every chance she gets...

I love watching her grow and learn...

She even chose her Sister's number...

for years to come!

My HOT Thursday...

On a HOT Sunny July Day...

Tracy and I stood in a long line to get into the Snapping Shoals EMC Annual Meeting!

We waited in a long line to vote for the new Board!  It was an important vote to keep our rates low!

We got a bucket full of goodies!

We listened to lots of live music, great band!

We are friends with the President/CEO and got us a hug from this handsome fella!

They gave away 50 prizes, the last prize was this truck!  We didn't win anything but enjoyed our day together!

The day was HOT...

But we ended the day at the ballfield for a double-header watching Autumn's team preparing for Nationals!

Voted, voting!

I voted yesterday!  We had early voting at the local library!  Happy to get that off of my long "to-do" list:) 

I am heading off this morning to the Georgia International Horsepark for the Electric Membership meeting!  They are having an important vote for the board members,

Relish Day 2012!

YUMMY!  I had it for dinner last night! 

IT WAS YUMMY!

Would you look at all of these jars of pear relish!  My butt was dragging by bedtime!  Who am I kidding, my butt was dragging at 5:00PM:)

Peeling, cutting, chopping... cooking:) 

Put in jars, pop... pop...sealed!

This is my Sister Barbara!  She was peeling pears when I got there yesterday morning and worked hard to get the relish made!  I appreciate your help and knowledge to get it just right!  AND NO, I couldn't do it without you:)

Here is the recipe!

We made it in 2005, 2008 and 2012....  I think I have enough to last me until perhaps 2016!  Lots of hard work in those jars!
