Flowers and softball...

I was driving out yesterday to run some errands and I glanced over to the edge of the woods!  A single rose blooming at the top of the stem... REACHING for the sunshine:) 

I stopped the car and moseyed over for a photo!  Oh it is huge and OH SO gorgeous!

  

And then on the left of the driveway are these little cuties!  Wildflowers that we planted a couple of years ago keep coming back:)

Remember that one lily I posted earlier this week?  This is what they look like this morning!  More beauty to come!

Autumn played with her School team last night, won one and lost one!  This is Autumn catching!  She has been working out and practicing with both teams... I know her legs were sore!

Before the games Autumn ran into one of her future College teammates:)  Hannah went to a local school and came to watch them play!

We had a late night but it was fun to see some old friends!  Up and at 'em this morning!  Hot coffee, a walk outside to get some photos and watching GMA!  Gotta get busy!  Have a blessed day dear friends, BIG HUGS!

We got them hung...

Remember the curtain gown I wore while helping Tracy move?  Yes?  We finally got them hung at her new house!  I went out yesterday and enjoyed my time with my Daughter and Grandchildren!  It was a beautiful day and we totally enjoyed our day:)

Before I left yesterday morning, I went out and brought in a bouquet of flowers from the yard:)  Hydrangeas and some gardenia buds!  Can't wait for the gardenias to open, they smell heavenly!

Lots of Ballgames ahead!  Autumn starts Summer ball for her School tonight and a tournament this weekend for her travel team!  We haven't had many games lately but that is about to change:)  We are ready!  Lots of the School team graduated so it will be different with some new players!  This is one of the last pictures from her school ball last year!  Can't wait to see her play!

So, as I watch the news this morning... there are lots of storms around the Country!  I will be praying for all of you out there!  BIG HUGS and continued prayers for my friend Julie!  I love you Julie, you are my HERO!

The day after the party...

Let's face it... I am NOT a SPRING chicken anymore and I was very tired yesterday!  Our Memorial Day party wiped me out!  Fortunately I didn't have a thing that I HAD to do, so I didn't do much!  Cleaned a little, finished putting away the party stuff and sat by the pool for a little while:)  It was a bright sunshiny day and there wasn't a cloud in the sky!  I took this picture directly into the sun, neat HUH?

 Got a great night's sleep, slept in a little this morning and getting my hot coffee down!  I have a couple of new blooms to share!  This lily was given to me for Mother's Day or Birthday MANY years ago!  It has brought me smiles every year since!  Thanks Tracy!

And who doesn't love a pretty yellow day lily:)  Each of the lilies has just one bloom, so that means the joy is just about to begin!

It was a REALLY good day...

We had some fun, OH YES we did!

Everybody enjoyed their day!  We had BBQ, Stew, Cole Slaw, potato salad, a variety of dips and chips, YUMMY desserts and loads of fun to go along with it!

Memorial day 2013...

Thankful for all who have served!  Remembering the lives lost and those who were returned to us safely!  My Daddy on the left and My Nephew, Justin on the right!  Love them both!

Do you see what I see...

Early on Saturday morning, I went out on the front porch!  A bird went zooming past me... NOW I know why:)  Look at this little nest in my Christmas cactus!  That Mama bird sat in a tree close by, squawking to let me know she was watching!

It was a beautiful start to a gorgeous day!  The Sunshine felt so good all day!

Our Garden enjoyed the morning sunshine too:)

I had a little visitor who wanted to learn to sew:)  And Ganky taught her!  When she was in the car leaving, she said "thank you Ganky for teaching me how to sew"!  LOVE HER!

Avery didn't want to sew, she just wanted to play with Barbies:)  AND that was just fine!  It was nice to have them visit for a while:)

AND I got to spend some time with my BEST FRIEND!  We enjoy every minute we can together:)  Love you Punkin!

While doing my chores and cooking dinner, I watched Autumn's future college team playing toward the World Series... they won and won and still play again today!  GO ARMSTRONG!

We enjoyed another Graduation celebration and got to visit with LOTS of old friends!  Loved visiting with everyone and celebrating the end of High School and moving on to College!  Have a blessed day dear friends, it looks like a picture perfect day here where we are!  BIG HUGS!

A bucket load of fun...

That's what we had yesterday "A Bucket Load of Fun"!  Alex's class celebrated the last day of School with an ice cream party:)  They were asked to bring a sun/pool toy/treats and put them in a tub!  This is Alex's loot:)

Alex and her teacher!  It was a great year for Alex.  She received the Citizenship Award!  It is voted on by her classmates:)  Way to go Alex!

We ran into Autumn and her friends, what a sweet bunch of girls!  Had to get some hugs and a picture:)

Then we finished off the day at a Graduation celebration for one of Autumn's friends, a teammate on her Softball team and like a member of our family!  We love you Rylee and are SO proud of you!

Avery's class didn't have a party yesterday, she played on the playground at school almost the entire day!  And she finished off the day having fun with Rylee's little Sister at the Graduation party:)  They enjoyed some really YUMMY blue cake:)

And JUST like that the year is gone!  These kids will move up to the next grade... 2nd, 3rd, 9th and a SENIOR!  Oh my goodness, TIME please slow down!  This picture was taken on the first day of School!  Lots has changed since then.  In this picture they lived 45 minutes from School.  Today, it takes them 10 minutes from their new home:)  Sweet!  It has been a great school year and I know that we will enjoy the Summer:)

   I am enjoying watching my Garden grow and even had a few goodies last night with my dinner!

Pet day, Pandora and Hosta bloom...

Back home, sitting on the sofa... WHAT?  MY hubby brought in a package that was sitting at the front door!  What could this be?  OMG... what a wonderful Birthday surprise!

My Brother, Marshall and Sister-in-law June AND my PRECIOUS Nieces, Kelly, Crystal and Suzanne sent me the most beautiful Birthday gift...

IT is gorgeous!  Thank you all SO much for my wonderful gift that I will enjoy for YEARS!  I can't wait to wear it:)

I was walking around the yard last night and saw this beautiful Hosta bloom!  I love Hostas and just had to share it with you!

I am up, have doctor appt this morning... about to have a cup of BLACK coffee!  YUCK... but better than NO coffee at all!  My Hubby and I both have check-ups!  I gotta get going:)  Have a blessed day dear friends,  HUGS!

DWTS and tree across driveway...

Great Finale for DWTS and a well deserved winner!  They danced their hearts out:)  AND won!  Congrats to Kellie and Derek!  Can't wait for next Season:)

Since Tracy and family moved, I have been taking a car full of misc things left behind when I go.  I made a quick trip over last night to fill my car and look what was across the driveway!

Back home and got my handy dandy Hubby with his brand new chainsaw and a variety of equipment:)

Back home for a good dinner!  On the way home, I saw the freshly baled hay in this field:)  Had to snap a pic!

Now it is Wednesday morning, I am having my coffee and watching GMA!  The devastation of the tornado is unbelievable!  Continue praying...
