Stopping...

Well, my day was just getting started, I was headed to see my Brother in the Hospital!  OOPS, I got a blue light special in my rear-view mirror.  Stopped...He said where was I going so fast, 45MPH I think I was going 48:)  I told him I was going to see my Brother in the Hospital, he gave me a warning!  Thank you Mr. Officer for not giving me a ticket!

I spent the day at the Hospital, did some shopping for the shower Saturday, worked on some party favors and STOPPED to take a walk up the driveway!  These little flowers are scattered thru the woods.  Wild roses and they are SO pretty!

This pretty rose was staring at me, wanting me to take it's picture!  Gorgeous feathered rose:)

These are busy days for me!  My Brother continues to improve, he can get out of bed, we walked up the hall yesterday, truly a miracle that he is doing so well!  Thank you all for your prayers and please don't stop!  We are having weird weather.  It is windy this morning but we are safe and sound!  Enjoy your day dear friends!  BIG HUGS!

Miracle Man, ball and tornado warnings...

Good morning to all of my Blog buddies!  It is really wet outside and the threat of severe weather is scary!  We are watching the news and prepared to take cover!  I spent yesterday morning at the hospital visiting my Brother!  He continues to improve:)  I am thankful for continued prayers being answered!  He has been known in the past as the "Miracle Man" and this time is no different!

Marc and I loaded the car and headed out in the evening to watch Alex play ball.  She has had lots of games rained out and this was a make-up game!  She only has one more game and I will miss that one because that is bridal shower day!  Alex pitched, played first and shortstop!  Oh and she hit...

She ran...

And she slid into home and scored:)

Today looks like a wet one!  I am praying for all of those affected by the tornadoes!  So sad to see SO many homes and businesses destroyed!  So many lives taken!  Stay safe out there, watch and take cover when the warnings come!  Thank you again for continued prayers for my sweet Brother!  Love you all!

Prayers being answered...

My Niece Kelly posted this on Facebook last night about her Daddy, My Brother!  Can we join hands and say "Thank you Jesus"!

Kelly said..."Who is going to be put in a regular room as soon as a bed is available? MY DADDY! That's who. We don't know if it'll be tonight or tomorrow, but he's getting out of ICU. I'm nervous as a cat in a roomful of rocking chairs about that. One nurse per patient is much better than 13 patients to one nurse. He's eating a clear liquid diet and has stood up beside his bed. Keep us in your prayers."

My Brother is on the mend!  He still has a ways to go and MUST get his diabetes controlled more for his way of life!  God has blessed us with yet another Miracle for My Brother!  Thank you all for your prayers!  I am SO thankful for the power of prayer!  Love you all!

Please pray for my Brother...

This is my Brother Marshall, he is my hero and he has been VERY sick!  He was rushed to the hospital on Friday morning unresponsive.  He was thought to possibly have brain damage due to lack of oxygen!  It appears that this was all related to his extremely roller coaster diabetes.  Tons of prayers have been sent up on his behalf, he wasn't able to speak at all on Friday morning and yesterday when I left the hospital... he said "Love You"!  Do I believe that this is in answer to all of the prayers prayed for MY Brother?  You bet 'cha I do!  God has brought him thru time after time when the Doctors said there wasn't any hope!  There is always hope when you believe in the God that I believe in!  Once again, this incredible family of mine has come together in the hospital waiting room, trickling in and out, giving hugs and making each other smile, loving each other because that is what we do!  MY BROTHER is getting better!  Praise GOD!  The report from the hospital last night was wonderful!  He still has a ways to go, BUT... we are steady praying and believing that before you know it, he will be sitting in his chair, looking out his window at the birds and telling some of the most interesting stories of times long ago!  I love him and he loves me!  When you say you prayers PLEASE include my Brother Marshall!  Thank you!

Blessings to you and yours on this gorgeous Sunday morning!  BIG HUGS and prayers from my grateful heart to yours!

Done and looking good...

This is my entry to my journal for yesterday!  Our 12-year old driveway received a face-lift:) When we moved here, we had it graveled to save some cash and the gravel either had to be replaced or paved!  We chose to pave it!  Over the years I have swept up SO many little pebbles that were tracked in my kitchen from the old driveway.  NO MORE of that!  I am excited that this is done!

And to add a little more parking, we added a parking pad to an area that just would not grow grass!  I am happy with it too!  Can't wait to use it for family and friends to have extra parking:)

I stayed in again yesterday while all of this work was going on!  It was a good day to get more cleaning done:)  Where does all of this dust come?  I have decided I have WAY too many DOO-DADS:)  But, you know what?  I love my doo-dads, so I am just gonna dust those babies and put them right back where they were:)

Update on my Brother, Marshall!  Tests went well and the results were great!  Thank you for your prayers!  He has to get his diabetes under control!  Please keep him on your prayer list!

SO, the weather is supposed to be perfect today!  No machines running in the driveway today and I have errands to run after being inside all week!  Hope you have a MIGHTY BLESSED DAY where you are!  BIG HUGS from my heart to yours!

Trapped...

Yes, I was trapped in my house ALL day!  Our driveway is getting paved and they worked on it all day grading it and prepping it for today!  I am excited to get it finished:)  BUT... what do you do when you really CAN'T leave?  I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned!  It felt good to check some things off of my list!  I will hear those machines running shortly and I'll post before and after pics tomorrow!  I know you can't wait to see my new driveway:)

Late yesterday, I took a little walk in my garden!  My little mater plants are getting some blooms:)  Happy me!

My Brother Marshall stayed overnight last night in the hospital to have some tests run this morning!  Please help me pray for him:)  Thank you:)  Have a blessed day dear friends, BIG HUGS!

Orange and navy...

Whatever team she is on... we wear those colors:)  She is wearing orange and navy, so do we!  This is a picture her Daddy sent me from Sunday's scrimmage game!  Guess where the ball went after it left the bat! OUT of the park!  I wish I had been there to see it!

AND... this is the welcome you get at home plate after you hit a homer:)  MY GIRL!  She will play with this team thru the Summer and then she'll be playing with her college team!

The closer it gets to Graduation, the more sentimental I am!  What do you do when your oldest Granddaughter graduates high school?  Honestly, it makes me sad!  I am happy for her but will sure miss her when she goes away to College:(  Well... I still have the Summer to follow her around and that's just what I'll do!  Orange and Navy will be our colors and we will be wearing them Coast to Coast!  Enjoying each day...

Have a blessed day dear friends, HUGS!

Brrrr....

Just when I was enjoying wearing flip-flops... here comes the chilly weather again!  The garden plants had to be covered and ladies was it ever cold at the ballfield last night!

Alex was happy to be playing, even in the cold weather:)  We bundled up and enjoyed watching her play!  Sitting next to my BFF, my daughter... we giggled a lot and enjoyed our time together:)

I got out yesterday to do a little Easter shopping!  It was a VERRRY windy day but it felt good to check some things off my list!  Not quite finished and still need to grocery shop for our Sunday lunch!  Enjoy your day dear friends, BIG HUGS from chilly Georgia!

Rainy welcome...

Rain, rain, rain!  That's what we are having here where we live!  It is nice to have the pollen washed away and everything is turning green!  The leaves are really popping out on all of the trees:)  Can you believe that it is April 15th?  I know, me either!

I spent yesterday doing some cleaning and it felt good to stay in and get some stuff done!  We had a yummy dinner (cabbage, smoked sausage, cornbread), watched DWTS and the Braves and we were finished with that day:)  Today?  I am looking out at the wet day, wondering if Alex will have her game this evening?  I bet the fields are really muddy!  AND... I know that my Hubby is out looking at the plants he has put out and planning to cover them tonight, FROST is predicted:(  My Daddy always said, wait 'til after Easter to plant your garden:)  I hope you are enjoying your morning dear friends!  BIG HUGS!

Church and a full moon...

My Sunday started out here, at my little Church!  It was an awesome service!  The singing is one of my favorite parts!  Here is Cindy's entire family singing together!  What a blessing they are to me!  Justin had a new girlfriend with him:)

Fast forward thru the afternoon, watched the Braves, the Masters and even the Yankees/Red Sox game.  Yes former Atlanta Brave Brian McCann plays for the Yankees now and I like to watch him play when I can:)  Dinner and a walk up the driveway to take the garbage!  WOW, what a beautiful FULL moon!  It was so BRIGHT!

It was a nice and restful weekend!  I have much to accomplish this week, doing some Spring cleaning around my home!  I hope you are having a marvelous Monday morning!  BIG HUGS from me:)

The Legend of the Dogwood...

With one week until Easter Sunday, the dogwoods in bloom, this gorgeous Sunday morning is the perfect time to post the Legend of the Dogwood!

In Jesus time, the dogwood grew
To a stately size and a lovely hue.

‘Twas strong & firm it’s branches interwoven
For the cross of Christ its timbers were chosen.

Seeing the distress at this use of their wood
Christ made a promise which still holds good:

“Never again shall the dogwood grow
Large enough to be used so

Slender & twisted, it shall be
With blossoms like the cross for all to see.

As blood stains the petals marked in brown
The blossom’s center wears a throny crown.

All who see it will remember me
Crucified on a cross from the dogwood tree.

Cherished and protected this tree shall be
A reminder to all of my agony.”

Enjoy your day dear friends!  BIG HUGS and many blessings!

Aggravated and then a sweet visit...

I had a really trying day!  I was REALLY aggravated and that doesn't happen very often!  One of my medications that I take for Osteoporosis (VERY EXPENSIVE MEDICATION) recently had a generic approved.  Not available yet, SO I was told.  I was out of it and paid a LOT for a month's supply of the brand name.  LONG story short:)  As it turns out, the generic IS available just not at my pharmacy.  After THREE trips to the pharmacy and a LONG discussion with the insurance folks... I returned the medication and ordered the generic from another pharmacy:)  I was finally happy.  Three months medication for $30 cheaper than one month of the Brand!  That was worth the trouble!

The evening came and my Sister-in-law June called to see if I was going to be home!  YES I was and these two came for the NICEST visit:)  I enjoyed it SO much!  My Brother hasn't been feeling well and really seemed to be having a good day!  I love them:)  It really made my day!

So, that's it for my Friday!  My aggravation in the day was forgotten with a sweet visit from my Brother and Sister-in-law:)  The weekend looks like it is going to be gorgeous!  Still lots of pollen but sunshine and blue skies!  Enjoy your day dear friends, BIG HUGS!
