Fan of hidden treasures...

I haven't been doing much in the way of cleaning out but my Husband has!  He came in last night from the garage with a box full of "do you want to keep these"?  DUH, yes!  This fan was hidden in the bottom of a box, in the top of the garage and is almost perfect!  It is made of thin wood and
I love it!

LOOK at the detail!  I was tickled pink to have this beautiful fan!

This one too!  OH MY!  Very old and not a blemish!  I am thinking these belonged to my Mother-in-law!  It has a Funeral home name on it!  Can you imagine this being given out as a gift from a funeral home?  Me either:)

There is a box full of linens waiting on me to wash!  Pillow cases, tablecloths and doilies!  I will be sharing them soon after I get them all cleaned!  Hidden treasures are always fun! Our weekend Spartanburg tournament was canceled due to the weather, SO we got a weekend off!  I will spend the afternoon at my Friend's daughter's baby shower!  I am looking forward to it!

Enjoy your Saturday dear friends!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Picasso I'm not...

My very first painting:)  I went to a painting class last night with my Niece Kelly and her Daughter-in-law Alicia!  It was the MOST fun ever!  I learned SO much and this is my painting!

We all started with a blank canvas and a tray of paint and brushes.  As the night went on, we added color, branches and the hardest part for me was the bird.  When I got home, Marc said he couldn't believe I painted that.  Not sure how to take that, just kidding:)  He asked if any of it was already done when we got there.  Thankfully I had pictures to show that I started with a blank canvas:)

AND here is the entire class:)  It was SO much fun to learn to paint and spend the evening with Kelly and Alicia!  LOVED THIS and I can't wait for the next time!

I didn't eat before I went to the class.  I couldn't wait to get home because there was a crock-pot FULL of taco soup waiting for me.  YUMMY, warm and delicious:)  Have a blessed day dear friends!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way this morning!

Not one flake...

I waited for some snow but it never came!  It would be nice to see the white stuff, just a light, pretty, white, fluffy snow!  BUT... all we got was rain and plenty of it!  I had lots to do inside and that is where I stayed, watching the weather warnings and getting things accomplished!  I know there are many in North Georgia who are looking out at a blanket of pretty snow but we aren't!  On a good note, I am not snowed in and the roads aren't iced over:)  SO... All of the folks up North are wishing the snow away and I just wanted a little!  After dinner, with the LACK of snow... I started singing "Do you wanna build a snowman" from the Frozen movie!  After a few times of me singing that, my HUBBY said I think you need to "Let it go"!  We both giggled:)

Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Basketball banquet 2015 and snow...

Austin's Basketball banquet was last night and of course, I was there:)  We enjoyed seeing our Grandson and his team getting their awards!

Austin doesn't really like this part!  The Coach talked about Austin's accomplishments!  He said Austin was the leader, was the top re-bounder, best athlete and that Austin had high energy!  I agree with all of these things:)

My Daughter made these CUTEST EVER cookies!  Tracy, they were a huge hit!  We had a ton of good food!

AND we had to snag a few pics to remember this occasion!  Austin and his sweet Parents!

Austin with two of his three Sisters...

AND US with our Grandson:)

Me and my GIRL!  I love this daughter of mine!  I am SO proud of the MOTHER she is to her 4 children!  She is my BEST FRIEND!

It appears there is snow coming to Atlanta and not just a dusting!  I have plenty of food and don't really have anywhere to go today!  I will enjoy my time inside, perhaps get some chores done and watch for the white stuff!

Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

DWTS, waiting and waiting some more...

Today was the day, DWTS was announcing the stars for this Season!  BUT WAIT!  It is snowing a little around N. GA, SO... ABC is continuously reporting about it!  I have tried to find out how to watch GMA live but I am just having to find out on-line who the stars are!  AND here they are!  Hmmm, doesn't look too exciting but we'll see how it goes when the show starts:)

I hope you all are enjoying this morning, it is rainy here where I am!  I am excited for Austin's Basketball banquet tonight!  I always take my Doritos taco salad, so I'll be making that later today!  Stay safe and warm!

Have a really blessed day dear friends, BIG HUGS!

Church and another shower...

The Parents-to-be of little Connor Alan at the Church Shower yesterday!  Yet another wonderful shower!  Tons of gifts, great food and fellowship!  They were showered with LOVE!

One of my favorite gifts of the day was this little set made by our Church Angel, Janice!  She does SO much for the Church and to take time to make this special gift... PRECIOUS!

As my Niece said on Facebook "He's not born yet but he's already loved"!  Yes, Kelly... that is SO true!  I can't wait to meet that little fella, hold him, love him and teach him how to say Ganky:)  Now it is Monday, it was a great weekend and Church yesterday blessed me real good!  My Sister Brenda and I spent the afternoon visiting our Brother Marshall and Sister-in-law June!  It was a very nice day!  I hope you enjoy the week ahead!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Whew, that was fun...

We gave Conner and his Parents a BABY shower yesterday!  It was SO much fun, lots of guests, great food and fellowship with friends and family!  Walmart didn't disappoint with the cake, it was TOO cute and very YUMMY!

Tiffany is just a doll!  Such a cute little Mommy to be!  We love her and her family!

Bradley was there for the beginning and came back after the shower!  What a joy he is, but still just a little boy in my eyes!

My Daughter out-did herself with her cookies that she made!  WOW, Tracy they were SO cute!  I brought one of the duckies home with me:)  Thank you for making them!

We had a fellowship hall full of friends and family sharing the fun!

This was the cutest gift bag:)  I think I would cut those cute little animals out and make a wall-hanging:)

My niece Crystal made the CUTEST little camo gear!  What a sweet and most precious gift!

TWO hats, camo booties and a diaper cover!  PRECIOUS, Crystal... they were just perfect for Connor!

AND... one of the highlights of my day was getting to see these two!  My LIFETIME best friend Celene and my Mama's best friend Henrietta!  SWEETEST family to me!  I love them both and appreciate them sharing this time with us!

I made Connor this little book holder:)

And this canvas!  His room is going to be decorated in animals:)

That's it for my Saturday!  I came home, washed up all the dishes, sat in my favorite chair and DIDN'T move:)  I was pretty tired but it felt good that the shower was a success, everyone enjoyed themselves and Connor got lots of good gifts!  Now it is Sunday and I have missed Church lately while being out of town... not today, I can't wait to get there this morning!

Have a blessed day dear friends!

It's showtime...

Well, not really... it's shower-time:)  I spent part of my day yesterday with my Sister Cindy decorating the Church Fellowship Hall for the shower!  We did a little shopping too and I really enjoyed my time with her!  Now, it is the day for the shower!  Bradley and Tiffany made it safely about midnight and I will get to see them later!  Can't wait!  SO... gotta get my food finished, the car loaded and pick the cake up!  Here is another one of my crafts for the shower!

Have a really blessed, safe and warm day!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Baby Shower Central...

I spent my yesterday working steady on the Baby Shower for my Nephew Bradley's baby boy Connor!  I really enjoy creating for a really special time like this:)  Sneak peek at one of my creations!  A wreath made from diapers:)  Connor's room is going to be decorated with an animal theme!

The weather is iffy coming thru Tennessee and North Georgia!  I pray that the snow and ice will stay away so they can SAFELY make it to the shower!  I still have some shopping for food to do and other loose ends to tie up!  Have a blessed day, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Favorite place to be...

I enjoy myself wherever I am and I REALLY enjoy a visit to Tybee Island Ga!  I am back home after a long weekend to watch Autumn play ball!  It was a cold and windy weekend
but pretty just the same!

Driving into Savannah...

I could spend many days walking under these mossy trees...

The view out the back of our house that we rented was this gorgeous lighthouse!  So many memories of this view over the years!  LOVE IT!

The place was perfect for all of us to be able to stay in one place and everybody had their own bedroom and bathroom!

And Autumn came over to visit with Frankie:)

The view was beautiful late at night...

AND... early in the morning!  When I looked out my bedroom window and saw this sky, I ran to the back door to get a picture!  This doesn't do it justice!  HEAVENLY!

On Valentine's Day, my HONEY gave me some sweethearts:)

And my girl played her heart out!

Catching, hitting and running!  There were 4 games, won 2 and lost 2!

Love watching them, listening to their chants and hearing them cheer each other on!

We invited Austin's Girlfriend to go with us!  It was Valentine's weekend and we didn't want them to miss seeing each other!  She fits right in with us and we ALL love her!

Alex and Avery had a great time too:)  These two sure have a lot of fun together!

Dinner at Spanky's, lots of laughs...

plenty of good food and sweet smiles...

Tracy and her girl!  Love these two cuties!  Autumn stayed the night with us!

Me and my Valentine:)  We are EVER SO thankful to be able to travel with this bunch, we are having the time of our lives!

This morning, I got up at 6:45, went into the kitchen to get the coffee started and checked on my lighthouse:)  The sun was just coming up!

It was saying "enjoy this sunrise and
come back soon"!

Now I am home, ALL is well here and we are tired!  There are clothes to wash and plenty of catching up to do!  I'll get it all done when I can!  I hope you all are doing well and having a really blessed week!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS across the miles!
