The last day of April...

Is it really the last day of April?  Where has this year gone?  Before you know it... the first year of College will be done for Autumn, my Niece Britani will be saying "I do", the end of the school year and everybody moves up a grade, the garden will be full of bright red tomatoes and we'll be heading to the beach!  Yes, while the calendar is about to change months... we have so many things to look forward to and be thankful for!

I am looking forward to meeting my new Great-Nephew Connor:)  Bubba is supposed to be getting out of ICU and starting the healing process!  Well, time to get busy!  Just wanted to say Hi, thank you for praying for my Nephew and I hope you have a really blessed Thursday!  HUGS and PRAYERS coming your way this morning!

Long day waiting...

Nothing will make you remember spending long days at the Hospital waiting like spending a long day at the Hospital waiting!  That is what I did yesterday, I sat with my Sister Brenda and her Son waiting on his much needed surgery!  It was a "waiting patiently or not so patiently" kinda day!  But we waited...  After I left last night, they finally took Bubba to surgery around 8:00!  Surgery was finally complete after midnight and now the healing begins!  What kept the surgery delayed was this helicopter bringing in bleeding and dying patients!  That is exactly the words his orthopedic doctor said! SO SAD for those families!

This hospital is a Trauma Hospital and the helicopter pad was right outside Bubba's window!  OH did that thing come whirling often!  I am thankful that the surgery was a success and I will be praying that rehab will do what rehab does!  Thank you all for your prayers, have a blessed day!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Prayers appreciated...

My Nephew Bubba, My Sister Brenda's only Son was in a terrible accident yesterday morning!  After seeing the truck, it is a miracle that he came out alive!  It appears he doesn't have internal injuries or head trauma, for that we are all thankful!  He has fractures in his back and his hip socket either has to be replaced or pins in it!  Thank you for praying for him, he has a long road of recovery ahead!  His Daughter posted a picture of his Bible on Facebook this morning!  He always carries it with him in his truck!  That Bible survived and so did he!

Thank you Lord for sparing his life!  Have a blessed day dear friends, BIG HUGS and thankful PRAYERS!

The Friendship Rose...

The scent of these roses is heavenly!  Tracy gave me this rose bush when we moved here, 13 years ago!  It grows SO tall and keeps blooming and blooming and blooming!  I cut them and bring them inside when I can reach them:)  These roses actually fell over!  I guess with all the rain, they were weighed down!  I snapped their picture and now some of them will be in a vase inside:)

I found this poem and wanted to share it:)  I am thankful for SO many friendships with all of you!

Have a blessed Monday dear friends!  I am recovering from my busy weekend and have to clear the dining room table which looks like a wedding shop:)  HUGS!

The Shower, DOM...

Britani and Adam at their shower yesterday!

Love this girl to pieces!

My Sister and her baby girl "Bride to be"!

Tracy made her famous cookies:)

AND they were not only beautiful but delicioso!

Smiles as they open their gift from me:)

Yummy cake and pretty too:)  Walmart did it again!

Now the countdown to the Wedding!  Love spending time with my girls!

Tracy dashed from the shower to get pictures of my OH SO handsome Grandson and his girl!  Great pictures Tracy!  Love these two!

While I was at the Shower, Autumn was playing in a tournament!  Marc was there and kept me informed on what was happening!  When I got home, unloaded the car with all of the shower stuff... I sat in my comfy chair and watched the game:)  What did we do before the Internet?

To say I was tired at the end of the day is an understatement!  BUT.. it was the kind of tired that couldn't help but make you smile:)  Have a blessed Sunday dear friends!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Actresses, track star and award...

Two plays Thursday morning!  Each girl had their own production of Wild Wild West!  Both were AWESOME and I really enjoyed my
day with them all!

Austin running track yesterday afternoon!  He is great at everything he does and he does it all:)

AND the announcement last night at the Peach Belt Conference Banquet about my Autumn!  PROUD?  Yes I am!  This is what the Savannah Morning News reported!
MILLEDGEVILLE — Armstrong State University placed six players on the Peach Belt All-Conference softball team, announced Thursday at the league’s annual awards banquet.
The Pirates had five players earn first-team honors, with one player on the second team.
Senior Alexis Mercer earned first-team honors at shortstop for a third consecutive season. The Rincon native and South Effingham High graduate hit .409 with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs, also drawing 36 walks for a .568 on-base percentage. She became the PBC’s career all-time home run leader and enters the tournament with 58 career home runs, ranking among the top 10 in NCAA Division II history.
Freshman Autumn Parrish earned first-team honors at catcher. The Monroe native is a two-time PBC Player of the Week honoree this season and is hitting .338 with 11 homers and a team-leading 42 RBIs.
Senior Rachel Reynolds earned first-team honors as a designated player. The Wilmington Island native and Savannah Christian graduate has hit .353 with seven doubles, two home runs and 20 RBIs this season.
Two other Pirates earned first-team at-large honors. Junior second baseman Peyton Roth made the team as the second-leading hitter in the PBC, averaging .458 with a league-leading 66 hits, seven doubles and 15 RBI. Outfielder Sierra Newman also earned an at-large spot on the team for hitting .393 with six doubles, four triples and 15 RBI.
Senior Ollivia McLemore earned All-PBC honors for a second straight year as the pitcher was named to the second team. Unbeaten this year in league play (10-0), McLemore went 14-3 overall with a 2.84 ERA in 18 games for the Pirates.
The Pirates are the No. 3 seed in the PBC Tournament and take on sixth-seeded Montevallo at 6:30 p.m. today in first-round action from Milledgeville.

Enjoy your day dear friends!  Today is going to be a beautiful one:)  HUGS!

A quick hello...

Yesterday was a busy one!  I got most of my shower food bought, errands run and spent the evening outside!  These flowers obviously loved all of the rain!  I call them wild roses!  They are scattered throughout the woods and
I just LOVE them!

Our garden is looking good too!  Tomato plants have blooms...

And the pepper plants have teeny tiny peppers!  I always enjoy this time of the year, a daily walk to see what's "hapnin" in the garden!

Gotta run!  Alex and Avery have programs this morning:)  Have a blessed day dear friends!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

What a day...

Before we left for Savannah yesterday, I took a walk around to see some of the beauty around my house!  These snowball blooms are beautiful but just don't last long enough!

Where the wild ferns grow:)  We have them scattered around our woods but here they are appearing thru the deck!

Raindrops on rosebuds:)  Oh how I love these roses from bud to bloom!

We loaded the cooler, chairs and Armstrong here we come...

The final home game:(  The field will be empty until Fall!

The girls were ready to play and play is what they did!

Honoring America...

Autumn hitting...

Homerun #11

As we left Savannah for the ride home!  It was late, we were tired and hungry!  We talked about the Season, Autumn's accomplishments and both of us can't wait for the Fall:)  We enjoy it SO much!

Finally got to sleep around midnight!  Sweet end to a wonderful Season of great softball!  There are still the region championships, super-regionals and World Series!  Not sure how far we will go but we'll be there to watch!  Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Look at the sunshine...

After many days of rain, we finally got to see that mysterious bright yellow ball in the sky:)  It was a welcomed sight to me!  Everything around our house is soaked but perhaps with a few days of sunshine, we will dry out!

I stayed in ALL day yesterday!  Britani's bridal shower is this Saturday and I still had MUCH to do to prepare for it!  The morning started out with heavy rain!  We felt for sure Alex and Avery would not be able to finish the second round of golf!  But... they did and they each won a trophy!  I am SO proud of them for playing thru the rain and sloshy conditions!

Today?  Autumn is playing her last two home games for this Season! It has been a wonderful time for all of us watching her play!  The top 8 teams will play next weekend to see who goes on to the Championship!  I am proud of Autumn and her team, they are tough and extremely talented!

Hope you all have a really great day!
Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Chateau Elan for the day...

Chateau Elan Brazelton Georgia!  I spent my Saturday here, well not really!

I was at Chateau Elan for a golf tournament:)  Alex and Avery participated in the Junior Golf tournament!  Alex hitting some practice shots...

Avery...

It was a beautiful course and gorgeous houses along the way!  The azaleas were so pretty!

The girls posing for me:)

Getting some tips from their Dad:)

This was my view for the day!  Austin and his girl Lexi were in the cart ahead of mine!

We had a great day!  It rained at the very end but thankfully we had umbrellas!

Of course My Sweet Sister Cindy AKA Grammy sent me pictures throughout the day of sweet Connor:)  He is a dollbaby!  Here he is heading home from the hospital:)

I often say that the love you have for a Grandchild is different from ANY other love!  I think Cindy knows what I mean:)

While I was at the Golf Course, Tracy was at Autumn's game in North Georgia!  Sometimes we have to split up when there are more than one event!  I managed to catch some of the first game on-line before I left the house!  The Internet, what did we do without it?

AND RAIN!  It will not stop raining!  I know one day this hot Summer, these days will be a distant memory!  But for today, Rain Rain Go AWAY!  Have a blessed day dear friends!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Baby and A Birthday...

Little Connor is doing very good and so are the Parents!  He will be going home today and I know he will be a cutie-pie:)  Here are a couple pictures that my Sister sent me yesterday OR I took from Facebook!  Look at his hair:)  PRECIOUS!

Today is also my Niece Sonia's Birthday!  I don't get to see her very often but I sure do love her!  Happy Happy Birthday Sonia!  Have a wonderful day!  I love you!

Look at that sweet little one:)  She was my very first Niece and my Parent's very first Grandchild!  Oh how proud they were!  I remember my Daddy would walk around in the field holding her!  Memories...

Here she is marrying her Prince Charming!  Her hair is and always has been beautiful!

The rain is threatening our weekend plans!  Autumn has softball this afternoon and Alex and Avery are playing in a golf tournament!  I hope we get both of these activities in!

Enjoy your day dear friends!

Welcoming Baby Connor...

We were blessed yesterday with the arrival of Baby Connor!  OMG is he ever precious!  I can see my Sister smiling all the way from Kentucky!  Thanks to the Internet for allowing me to be there when I'm not really there!  Would you look at this sweet picture of these new Parents loving on their Son?

The love of the new Mother!

And this new Daddy and his son!  Be still my heart!

The one that really makes me smile and cry at the same time is knowing my Sister Cindy has her very own Grandson!  She is one HAPPY Grammy:)

Oh yes, he is precious!

With a head full of hair!

I talked to Bradley last night, made my heart happy to hear him talk about his little Son!

Tiffany did great but needed blood last night!  Please pray for her and this little family!  Thank you in advance for those prayers!  Sending HUGS and PRAYER your way!
