Here comes the Bride...

Here comes the Bride...

It was the SWEETEST Wedding, full of love!  Isn't that what a Wedding is supposed to be,
I think so too:)

Jeff and his Baby Girl:)

And the Brothers standing watch...

The song they played at this point almost had the tears squirting from my eyes!  I tried really hard not to cry!

Do you take this Woman, I do...
Do you take this Man, I do...

Moments throughout the ceremony really touched my heart...

Dear Lord, please bless this couple as they start their journey together as Man and Wife...

With this ring, I thee wed...

The Brothers and Nephew standing watch again:)

The Wedding Party!  Everyone looking their best...

Cindy and Jeff have added another family member, Adam!  And Kimberly will be marrying Justin next year and we'll be having another wonderful event:)

The littlest cutie-pie...

Pa and I with the happy couple!  I really enjoyed this day!

Would you look at my Grandchildren?  OH MY GOODNESS, be still my heart:)

Tracy and Derek with their beautiful family:)

 Autumn and Justin:)  Love them!

Me and my Girl!

We had a wonderful day at the Wedding!  I was super-di-duper tired at the end of the day but couldn't wipe the smile off my face!  I pray that Britani and Adam will be happy forever!

The reception was wonderful too but I have photo overload on this blog post...

 to be continued:)

Lunch with the best old friends...

We had the BEST time at the Blue Willow Inn in Social Circle!  Sharing stories of times SO long ago and each and every one enjoying retirement!  I love ALL of these old friends and will cherish this memory!

This is a picture from many years ago!  Two of these friends are no longer with us:(

My friends Reesa and Katie!  Katie passed away two years ago after a long and courageous battle with cancer!  I miss her so much and know that she was there with us yesterday!

Another large group lunch several years ago!  Many in this picture were there yesterday!

AND then there is my friend Joan!  I love her SO much!  Our friendship is one that will last forever!  We don't see each other often enough but our hearts are never far apart!  I love you Joan!  She calls me "Lil Bit":)

That was a wonderful day, one we will all remember for years to come!  Have a blessed day dear friends, BIG HUGS!

Busy days and a YUMMY recipe...

I had a busy day yesterday, did a little shopping for my Husband a new suit for the wedding and a few last minute purchases!  It is getting close and we are all excited for the wedding and for the cutest little fella to come for a visit!  Can't wait to see little Connor:)  My Sister Brenda sent me a recipe that she knew we would love!  We love cabbage at my house and this was LIP-SMACKING DELICIOUS!  If you love cabbage, make this recipe... you will not be sorry:)

CABBAGE CASSEROLE
Ingredients
8 C. chopped cabbage
3 1/2 T. butter
10.5 oz. cream of chicken soup
1 large egg
2.8 oz. french fried onions
2 C. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
20 crushed ritz crackers

Directions
Place the cabbage in a pot and cover with water, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes, drain well. Put the cabbage back in the pot and stir in 2 T. of butter till melted. Stir in the soup and combine well. Put the egg in a bowl and lightly beat, add a couple spoonfuls of the hot cabbage mixture to the egg to temper it. Pour the egg into the cabbage and stir well. Add in the french fried onions, 1 3/4 C. of the cheese and the seasonings. Stir well and pour in a 2 quart casserole dish. Bake, uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the remaining 1 1/2 T. butter and combine it with the crushed crackers. After 35 minutes, remove from the oven and sprinkle the crackers over the top and then sprinkle the remaining 1/4 C. cheese around. Return to the oven for 5 minutes.
(The only thing I did different was used the french fried onions on top because I didn't have the ritz crackers)

I am excited for my lunch today with friends that I used to work with!  We are ALL retired now and will be having a leisurely lunch, chatting, hugging and sharing stories!  Have a blessed day dear friends!  BIG HUGS!

Skipping along...

With the threat of rain yesterday, we didn't have a party planned but helped Britani get her stuff moved to her soon-to-be new home!  We gave her our TV and got it moved and positioned for her to watch when she gets back from her Honeymoon:)  Remember that threat of rain I mentioned earlier, well it rained and rained and rained!  It was still raining when I went to bed!  My Garden will be shining today after getting all of that rain:)  I took these pictures yesterday morning!

Here is a picture from Church Sunday!  We honored our Veterans with Patriotic songs and each one stood up and told when they served and with what branch!  It touched my heart!  Justin said he wanted to put the American Flag and the Christian Flag in front of the Church!  Love that Nephew of mine!  He is a blessing to me!

My precious Niece Kelly gave me this SWEET birthday gift, a new charm for my bracelet!  I love it Kelly and I sure do "LOVE FAMILY"!

To say this is gonna be a busy next few days is putting it mildly!  Tomorrow I have a retiree luncheon, finishing preparing for the Wedding this weekend and still SO much to do!  If I am missing, just know I am skipping along to get it all done:)  Have a blessed day dear friends, HUGS!

Baby Shower and visit with Bubba...

My Niece Sonia made this cute display of fruit for her Daughter's Baby Shower:)  Isn't it cute?  Lots of work too!

We had a great time, Kristen received loads of wonderful gifts for her Baby Boy!  AND the food was DELICIOUS!

On my way to the Baby Shower, I visited my Nephew Bubba at the Rehab facility!  He was excited to see me but even more excited that I brought him some pictures of his Grandchildren for his room!  We went outside, got some fresh air, saw some beautiful roses and watched the birds!  His Sister Glenda came to visit and he was happy to get to spend the afternoon with her!

My busy day wore me out!  I managed to catch a short nap before getting dinner going:)  I made roasted cauliflower, smoked sausage and spaghetti salad!  OH MY, was it yummy!  AND SO... that's that for my Saturday!  I pray that you all have a really blessed Sunday!  BIG HUGS!

School's out for Summer...

Yesterday was the last day of School and now let the Summer fun begin!  Alex and Avery are going to basketball camp next week, I know they will enjoy that!  There will be lots of fun this Summer!  One thing will be different, no SOFTBALL!  I know Autumn is happy to have a break but honestly... we will miss it!

The last day of School for these two cuties!  Thanks Tracy for the pictures:)

There a lots of exciting times ahead!  Britani and Adam's wedding is next weekend, and little Connor Alan will be coming:)  My Great-Niece Kristen is expecting her little boy next month and I am excited to be going to her baby shower this afternoon:)

Have a blessed day dear friends!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Aching bones and blooms...

When I finally sat down last night, "oh my aching bones"!  We, Britani, Autumn and I worked really hard to get Britani's house a little closer to being her new home:)  It is a CUTE little house and I can't wait to help her get it all decorated!  We were all pretty tired when we started the journey home and stopped for a meal at a local Mexican restaurant!  It was YUMMY and we all agreed, the BEST we had ever had!

I stepped outside this morning to get some pictures of the beautiful blooms!  My lilies are opening... LOVE them!

This rose bush continues to amaze me with it's beauty!  They are a pale yellow then turn into this bright yellow color:)  LOVE them!

And what do my wondering eyes did appear?  YEP, the first gardenias!  I WILL give them a few days to pop open and then "snip snip" in vases they will go:)  LOVE THEM!

SO... it is Friday morning, my coffee is tasting perfect, there is a little chill in the air and we are ONE week away from the Wedding!  I am EXCITED!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way this morning!

DWTS finale, uh oh and a meal...

We don't watch any reality shows but we watch DWTS!  We look forward to Monday nights to watch the Stars learn to dance!  It came down to Rumer, Riker and Noah!

Rumer won and it was Val's first time to win!  I am always sad to see it end and look forward to the next Season!

Yesterday... I anxiously waited on my new back porch furniture to arrive!  The UPS truck delivered it to the door and Marc started removing the pieces from the box!  UH-OH... one of the boxes was missing the hardware:(  Well that was really disappointing!  After a call to Kohl's, they credited me $30 and gave me a $25 "I'm sorry that happened" gift, I called the manufacturer to have the hardware sent out!  SO... we have a love seat and coffee table but the chairs and side table are still in pieces until the hardware arrives!

My Sisters and I cooked dinner for Cindy's family last night!  They have been running from work to the hospital, to the Grannie's house to take care of them and home late!  We made them a yummy dinner and they were very appreciative of having a hot meal!  The wedding is quickly approaching and we are all excited for that special day!  I hope you all have a really blessed day!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way this morning!

A few updates...

I will start with this little cutie pie:)  Connor is getting big!  He will be coming down for Britani's wedding:)  Can't wait to see him again!  This little one is SO precious to me!

My Nephew Bubba is doing really good!  Still in Rehab and getting Physical Therapy!  It is a miracle how far he has come since the accident!

My Sister's Father-in-law is showing small signs of improvement!  We are thankful for any encouraging signs!  They are all pulling together to take care of his 95 year old Mama and his wife who suffers with Alzheimer's!

Thank you for your continued prayers!  We are still praying and being thankful!  Have a blessed day dear friends, SENDING HUGS AND PRAYERS YOUR WAY!
