The gift that keeps on giving...

Checking things off my list yesterday!  The main thing was I got the taxes done... whew that is one I always dread!  I took a minute to take this picture of my flowers:)  These were a gift from a friend's garden a couple years ago!  The best gift is the one that keeps on giving!

I packed the snack bag, a cooler and off we went for Austin's track meet!  Between events, he came and sat with us!  I love him:)

THE very LAST event of the evening!  We were there for a LONG time, darkness came and we finally got to go home!  We enjoyed watching Austin run but there is a lot of down time between events!  This was the Championship, so there were LOTS of teams!

Today. my Sister Barbara's husband Jerry is having a procedure to check for blockages to his heart!  I would appreciate your prayers for Jerry and Barbara!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

As we were leaving the track, Alex gave me a hug and said "thanks for coming"!  What a sweet girl!  My heart is full of love for my Grandchildren!  This is what the sky looked like on the ride home!  It was gorgeous!

The pollen count is REALLY high and has me sneezing:(  Signs of Spring aren't always pleasant!  I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

We celebrated Avery ALL day...

We celebrated Avery ALL day:)  Lunch at the School, Avery passed out cookies to her classmates:)

Dinner with the family!  Avery selected the menu and we all chipped in to make exactly what she wanted!  Cindy's chocolate chip pound cake was DE-licious!  She opened gifts and got lots of wonderful things including that CUTE frenchie blanket sleeper:)  Loved it!

Great weekend...

 We spent the weekend right here!  We watched, we cheered, we screamed, we clapped and we won ALL 4 games!  Autumn had a GREAT weekend, lots of hits for our Granddaughter!

Our hearts are filled with pride for our girl!  The Season is winding down, not many games left:(  What?  OH NO... TEARS!  We stopped for a photo shoot before we jumped in the car to head home!

Dogwoods in bloom...

After a full day of much needed cleaning on the inside, I went outside:)  The dogwoods are blooming and my little purple blooms are abundant!  Can you believe how beautiful these dogwood blooms are?  Each one is perfect!

After a full day of visiting with my Sister and Daughter, off we go to Austin's track meet!  He is a joy to watch!  ALWAYS comes to give his Ganky and Pa a hug:)  He now has 3 banners for his Senior year... Football, Basketball and Track!

There's a lot of down time at track meets:)  Frankie decided to take a short nap!  He sure enjoyed being at the meet to watch Austin run!

Driving Ms. Cindy...

My Sister's post-op appointment was yesterday and I was her chauffeur:)  Her doctor said she was doing good and things were normal!  We enjoyed our ride there and back, 
just chatting away!

Cindy took me to lunch at her favorite Chinese restaurant!  When I worked (15 years ago) we had a wonderful restaurant nearby!  When I tasted this soup, it tasted EXACTLY like the Lucky Key!  It was delicious!  Thank you "Stister" for lunch:)

After lunch we scurried back to her house to check out her first shipment of Lula Roe goodies!  She had 10 boxes of awesomeness!  She can't lift anything, so I carried the boxes inside and helped her count the inventory!  OMG, if you haven't worn these clothes... give them a try!  If you are on Facebook, you can check her group out HERE!

Sunny and then storms...

It was a beautiful South Carolina day!  The sun was shining until it dropped from the sky and warm!

We made a day trip to watch this team play ball!  They won both games:)

Autumn had another great day!  We are enjoying each and every game!

And this is what we faced on the ride home!  It was pretty scary!  Even more scary was the fact that Tracy was driving in it too:(  We saw trees down on the side of the road and went thru some hail!  Lots of really hard rain, but thank the Lord... we all made it home safely!

Today, I will be driving my Sister Cindy to her doctor for a post-op appointment!  I hope you all have a wonderful day!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

No Spring skips it's turn...

It's feeling and looking like Spring today!  I say TODAY because the chilly weather isn't done with us!  But... I will enjoy the SPRINGY weather today!

Blue skies and ballgames...

Sun roof open, blue sky and wispy clouds... a pleasant day to travel to watch Autumn play ball!

Their field had some damage from the storms but is all fixed up now!  This was their first home game of this Season!  These girls are SO supportive of each other in all that they do!

Alex and Avery with one of Autumn's former teammates!  Alexis graduated and has been going thru treatments for Hodgkin's Lymphoma!  She has finished her treatments and is doing well!  I pray that it is all gone and that the future is looking bright for her!  She loves Alex and Avery and they love her!

A day full of love...

A day full of fun, smiles and lots of hugs:)  Grandparent's Day 2017 was a wonderful time to spend with Avery!  We watched all of the children singing to us, enjoyed time in Avery's classroom and snacks in the cafeteria!  I loved every minute of my morning!

Prom day for Austin and Lexi!  Oh how beautiful and handsome!  It makes my heart happy to be with these two sweethearts:)

 Where did we end the day?  At Alex's track meet!  She ran in two events and did great in both!  Love watching her do what she loves!

And what could be better than spending the day with your BFF?  Yes, I spent the day with my Daughter!  She really does a great job being a Mother to SO many!  Lots of work in being a Mama and I appreciate ALL that she does!  Love you Punkin!

Too many lasts...

Cindy's surgery went well, thank you for praying!  Her little Grandson in down for a visit and that will make his "Gaga" feel ALL better:)  I have a really busy day today!  It is the last Grandparent's Day for us, it is only done for the Elementary school students!  It will be nice to spend the morning with Avery!  This was last year's wall for the Grandparents:) 

We enjoyed Austin's track meet last night and watched the sun set behind the track!  Alex has track this afternoon and Austin has his 
last PROM:(  Too many "lasts" in the post!

Today is my Niece's birthday!  Some time ago, I started calling her "Begima" (her real name is Regina)!  So Happy Birthday to Begima/Regina:)  I love you and hope you have a beautiful day!

Visiting with old friends...

Yes, I visited with old friends at the funeral home!  My friend Susan's Dad passed away after many years of illness!  I hugged so many friends from my childhood last night!  I enjoyed chatting with my Friend Celene's Mama, Henrietta and SO many others!  We grew up in a small town neighborhood where everyone had vegetables in the garden and rode the school bus to school together!  We all loved each other and still do:)  

After I left the visitation, I visited with my Brother Marshall and Sister-in-law June!  It smelled heavenly when I walked in, fresh hot biscuits had just come out of the oven!  My Brother was chowing down on some deliciousness that June had made for him!  What a sweet time we had and off I went to have dinner with my hubby!  Chili in the crock-pot and baked potatoes ALSO in the crock-pot:)  I wrapped the potatoes in foil, put them in the crock-pot and they were perfect!  Yummilicious on a cold night!

It's cold outside and INSIDE!  Our heat is acting up in out downstairs unit!  OK... the cold weather has me calling for repair!  They are on their way and I better get ready to welcome them in:)

Anybody else sleepy?

WHY does the time change get me EVERY time?  I have tried everything to ease into it, changed the clocks the night before, got up at the usual time and NOPE... still sleepy!  I came in from Church yesterday and took a really long nap!  Went to bed at the regular time, slept good and got up at the time I usually do and I just still feel sleepy!  It is nice to have that daylight in the evening but still dark when I got up!  I would love it if we just had one time and left it there, either one is fine with me!

OK, enough about the time change:)  I hope that ALL of you have a wonderfully blessed day!  I'll be having a little nap later today, you can count on it:)  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

What a fun day...

My day started out here at Alex's track meet!  I love watching my Grandchildren doing what they love!

Marc traveled to SC to watch Autumn do her "thang"!  I watched one of the games on-line!  This girl hit TWO more home runs and got 8 more RBIs!  WHOA!  SORRY I missed all that!

BUT... I had a Wedding to attend!  My Nephew Kenneth's Step-Daughter Arianna was getting married!  This is my Brother Leon and Sister-in-law Becky...
