Amazing Grace...

My Sister Cindy's Mother-in-law Ann, Jeff's Mama and Britani, Bradley and Justin's MawMaw crossed over into her Heavenly Home yesterday!  As Amazing Grace played as if on queue!  We had finished singing that same song just minutes earlier!  Spiritual!

Ann has had Alzheimer's for many years and her health had declined recently!  I was honored to be in Church with her a few years ago!  It amazed me how she remembered the words to the Hymns and sang EVERY WORD:)  When the mind is weary, God still lives in the heart!

  

I pray that the Lord will wrap his arms around this Family, Jeff and his Sister Kay, my Sister Cindy who has been there for Ann without fail and all of the Grandchildren!  AND Mr. Simmons who is heartbroken to lose his precious wife, God pour your LOVE on this family!

Tuesday Blessings...

I just wanted to pop in and say have a blessed Tuesday:)  

I stayed in ALL day yesterday, worked on a few chores, added some embellishments to Austin's scrapbook, had a yummy roast for dinner and watched DWTS!  Today, I have errands to run and I really need to get moving!  Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Monday morning chat...

 It was a rainy Sunday!  I went to Church, stopped to buy a few groceries and home to kick my feet up!  It felt SO good to rest:)  I totally enjoyed my Sunday!  Late in the day, I walked up the driveway and noticed some blooms just waiting for me to snap a picture!  The raindrops were still on the roses...

This rose smells SO good:)

The snowball bush was hanging with blooms drenched from the rain!  These blooms don't last long, I am SO happy to enjoy them while they are there!

I added these to our dinner last night!  Sliced a couple of tomatoes, drizzled with olive oil, added grated Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and oregano!  They were delicious:)

A long and tiring day...

I usually talk about what I did the day before!  It is my daily journal and on yesterday, I attended the funeral for my friend Marion's husband Charlie!  It was a beautiful service and I got to see lots of old friends!  I snapped this picture because this is how I want to remember Charlie!  I love Marion and will be there for her whatever she needs!

After the burial, I changed clothes and headed off to Alex's State Championship!  She ran 3 events and I am SO proud of her!  I know it was a tiring day but she finished strong!

Alex posted this picture, and I loved it:)  I bought her a State Championship T-shirt!  She chose the quote to put on the front... "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me".  I am SO proud of her!  She has the sweetest heart!

That's that for yesterday, I was so glad to get home, cooked dinner, sat down for an hour and off to bed!  It was a long and tiring day!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Yesterday and today...

My OH SO PRECIOUS Daughter sent me this picture this morning!  She said that she would be thinking of me and The Smith family today!  So sweet and thoughtful!  You see, I am going to be with my friend Marion at the funeral of Marion's husband Charlie!  I am SO sad for them:(

This is how I spent part of my day yesterday!  Autumn continues to entertain the crowd with another home run:)

And look who was there to see it... her High School Softball Coach!

We scurried off to watch Alex run in the State Track Meet!  GO ALEX!  Pa standing at the fence watching her:)

So... I will be spending most of this day with my dear friend Marion!  It is going to be tough for them and I appreciate your prayers!  Marc will be cheering Autumn on in her next game, then more running for Alex!

Ready, set, GO...

A beautiful day for Austin's track meet!  We pulled our wagon with chairs, cooler and snacks to an empty canopy and that's where we stayed:)  We watched Austin run the 4X100 relay and jump the high jump!  It amazes me that he has recovered from his broken leg to finish strong in Sports!

Today we have a tournament game for Autumn and Track for Alex!  Another busy day for Ganky and Pa!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

My friend...

I spent yesterday with my Friend Marion (far left).  Her husband passed away and I am SO thankful that I was there to hold her hand!  I don't know how she is this morning but I hope she knows how much I love her!  Prayers appreciated as she prepares to bury her husband of almost 51 years!

Marion is my friend, former co-worker and boss!  We meet a couple times a year to keep in touch!  She is one of the most kind-hearted people on this Earth and that heart is broken with the loss of her Charlie:(

My day and prayers...

This is SO true!  It takes a lot of time to pull the pictures, place them in order and rearrange them numerous times... because "Scrapbooks Are Works of Heart"!  That's how I spent much of my day yesterday, working on Austin's scrapbook!  It is kinda like therapy:)  I enjoy pulling out my MANY scrapbook supplies and then groaning as I have to put them away!  It will be worth it when  Austin receives it for a graduation gift, which is quickly approaching...

My prayer list is SO long these days:(  My Sister Cindy's Mother-in-law Ann is in hospice and is in her last days on this Earth, my friend Marion's husband Charlie was hospitalized with headaches and has a brain tumor, my Nieces Jessica and Kristen's Grandmother Mrs. Goodman has had a stroke and in the hospital!  I am praying and appreciate your prayers for them and their families!  Please and thank you!

Look at that sweet little one:)  Today is Sonia's Birthday!  She was my very first Niece and my Parent's very first Grandchild!  Oh how proud they were!  I remember my Daddy would walk around in the field holding her!  Memories...

Our Easter...

This is how Easter started for us:)  A row full of loved ones at Church!  I joined Tracy and Family at their Church and totally enjoyed it!

Church was over and we gathered for a few pictures!  I love this one:)  No place I would rather be than with these FOUR Grandchildren!
