Still raining here...

It is still raining here, EVERY day!  I stayed in ALL day yesterday except for a few minutes to take a picture of this beauty!  I saw the blooms from the kitchen window and IT IS SO PRETTY!

I am working hard at clearing clutter, finding pictures that I hadn't seen in a long time:)  Here is one that made me smile!  I remember this day:)  We were at LITTLE JUSTIN'S baseball game!  Tracy and My Daddy!

This guy right here is coming to stay the night tonight!  He is working a Summer Job for his Dad and it is a long drive!  Fortunately he drives by my house!  I will have him a hot meal on the table, fresh sheets on the bed and a big 'ole Ganky sized hug when he gets home from work!  He thanked me for making his scrapbook,
sweetest Grandson:)

Gotta get moving:)  Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Rainy Memorial day...

We didn't have any big plans for Memorial Day, no big cookout, just a low-key kinda day!  I cut a bouquet of gardenias and visited my Sister Cindy to pick up some purchases!  On the way back, I stopped to visit my Brother Leon!  We had a nice long chat, got a picture together and off I went to the grocery store!  I bought ribs (already cooked) and some potatoes to bake, that's what we had for dinner!

Now, it's May 30th... WHAT?  Just one more day in May!  Raining a lot around here, just about every day!  My flowers are blooming and the garden is looking nice and green!  Fortunately, I have plenty to keep me busy inside!

Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Remembering ALL...

Remembering those who gave their lives for our Freedom!

This is a display in the Mall in Savannah!  One of those listed is Christopher B. Rogers!   I didn't know him personally but my Sister Cindy knows his family!  God bless that family!

I stood on the side of the road as his body was brought home!  It was one of those moments I will never forget!

Have a blessed day dear friends!  I have some adjusting to do... no games, nothing on my schedule!  I am going to be doing some much needed visiting with family!  I plan on weeding my flowers, doing lots outside, working in my little cottage out back and perhaps buying new furniture!  Yep, I will make some adjustments to our new normal!  Whatever the future holds, I plan on being there:)  TODAY... is going to be a restful day I pray!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Grandchildren and flowers...

Those are two subjects that I talk a lot about on my blog:)  They both make me smile!  This team... oh my goodness, they are in Salem VA for the College World Series!  I am SO excited for this team as they play their last games as an Armstrong Pirate!  #7 is MY Autumn, GO Pirates!

There are lots of festivities surrounding the games!  Last night they attended their last banquet as a team!  I know that they are enjoying each and every moment together:)

Here is the daily flower picture:)  The day lilies are blooming!  While I am tired of the rain, it sure is good for my plants!

Flowers and maters...

The older I get, the harder it is to get moving!  OH I DO get moving, but it just takes a little longer to get my motor running!  I went to Church yesterday and totally enjoyed the musicians, singing out loud, clapping my hands and the message from our Pastor!  After Church, I along with everyone else... grocery shopped, it wasn't an option or I would have headed straight home!  After a nice nap, I took a stroll to enjoy the beauty outside!  The gardenia bushes are hanging to the ground with blooms and buds!  The hydrangeas are blooming too!  AND the lilies are opening up:)

What do you do when there are SO many gardenias?  You clip them and make bouquets for the inside!

The maters are coming, oh yes and I am excited!  Tiny MATERS will grow, turn red and we will slice them on a plate for dinner:)  Can't wait:)

We had a YUMMY dinner, catfish fillets, red potatoes with mushrooms, hush puppies and salad!  It was SO nice to eat dinner, clean up the kitchen and sit on the couch:)  We enjoy our busy lives and we enjoy a little rest too!  SO... it is the last week of School, lots of exciting things going on this week!  Stay tuned...  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Memorable day...

Austin's Graduation May 20, 2017

It was a wonderful day, beginning to end!  My heart was full of love and pride for Austin!  HERE he comes!  Love that sweet smile!  I know that he has great things ahead in his future!

When I saw him coming, my heart fluttered...

Austin receiving his diploma!

Mom and Dad with their Graduate...

No love greater than a Mother's love...

Dad and Son...

Autumn made the long drive to be there!

I love these two SO much...

Austin, Lexi and their 1st Grader...

Tracy, Derek and their SWEET family...

Austin with Cindy, Jeff, Britani and Spencer...

Ganky, Pa and the sweetest family:)

These two will be spending the rest of their Summer planning to head off to College!

I love this part of the ceremony:)  It's a happy time and instead of marching out, they all RUN!

After the ceremony, we enjoyed a party shared by 4 classmates!  The Parents put together tables of pictures and memorabilia... LOOK at my little grandson, insert tears here!

Tracy's cookies were gorgeous!  Tons of delicious food and I totally enjoyed it!

SO... except for the memories, Graduation day has come and gone!  One more week of School for Alex and Avery but not Austin, he can sleep late and get ready to work this Summer!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Just keep playing, just keep winning...

Armstrong State Softball advances to the WORLD SERIES!
DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Armstrong State University softball team is headed to the NCAA Division II National Championships for the fourth time in the last five seasons after capturing the 2017 Southeast Super Regional with a 5-2 win over No. 3 North Georgia on Friday afternoon at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium in Dahlonega.
The Pirates (36-12) swept both games of the Super Regional from the Nighthawks (48-13) to keep the season - and the athletic department - competing this Spring. Armstrong State softball will now advance to the DII Championships in Salem, Va., on May 25-29 against an opponent to be determined.
Armstrong State got a three-run home run from sophomore Logan Harrell in the bottom of the first inning to get things started. After North Georgia's Kaylyn Anthony drove in a run with an RBI single in the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, the Pirates plated two runs in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI infield single by Autumn Parrish and a Nighthawk's error that made the score 5-1.
Armstrong State will be heading to Salem for the third time in school history. The Pirates advanced in 2013 and 2014, finishing as national semifinalists in 2013.  2015 they came in 3rd in the World Series in Denver!

THIS TEAM just never quits!  They were dealt a RAW deal when their College merged with Ga Southern... they could have given up, but they didn't!  They fought their way to the Regionals, they fought their way to the Super-Regionals and YES... they are headed to the College World Series AGAIN!
Autumn, Pa and I are INCREDIBLY proud of your "never give up" attitude and hard work!  We love you forever and always!

Love these two SO MUCH!

Go get this win for Ganky and Pa!  World Series bound!

Not much time to chat this morning! BIG DAY AHEAD!  Not sure how much my heart can take!  My little bitty Grandson is not so little anymore and graduates from High School this morning! Stay tuned for the recap tomorrow:)

Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

The next few days...

This is how I spent my yesterday!  Finishing Austin's scrapbook was ALL I did!  It is now done!  I am SO happy with the finished product and I hope he will love it:)

As I go thru the thousands of pictures, pulling the perfect ones... I ran across this one!  Autumn and her little baby brother Austin!  OH TEARS shooting straight out at the thought that this little guy will be walking the stage in a couple days to receive his diploma!  Seriously... time flies right by and once the day is gone, you can't get it back!

The little girl in this picture will be playing in her last games!  It has been a long road to today...

Enjoy your day dear friends, I am taking a few days off to enjoy these few days!  I will pray for you, please pray for me!

Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!
