Santa pics and a train ride...

We had a plan to get Brooklyn's picture made with Santa yesterday and we did:)  Last year on the left, she didn't know what was going on... this year on the right, she was a little skeptical!

On the way out there I stopped for a dozen of these sweets, at Autumn's request!

Autumn and Brooklyn were about to take a train ride, yes... I joined them!  Memories made!

I love you Brooklyn forever and always!  Let's do this again next year, deal?  DEAL!

I hope you all are resting after the busy holiday and day after!  I am enjoying the heck out of my coffee this morning and about to have another piece of banana bread made special for us by my Daughter Tracy!  YUMMMY!

Happy Day after...

We joined my Daughter Tracy and her family for Thanksgiving.  Her Husband's family were there too and we really enjoyed our time with them.  Lots of good food and SO much good conversation.  We even got a call from Seth while deployed overseas.  Seth said they also had a Thanksgiving meal and that sure made my heart happy!  I have gotten lazy in taken pictures but here are just a few that Tracy, Autumn and I pulled together.  Brooklyn took a long mid-day nap and she was ready for the festivities:)

My Niece Kelly is in the hospital with kidney stones and I would appreciate your prayers for her.  She does SO much for everyone and now is having to be still and take care of herself!  I love you Kelly and want you to know I am praying for you!

Giving Thanks...  A look back at Thanksgivings Past just because I want to:)  Our Family is huge and with all the sickness won't be getting together this year.  We will all be thankful in our own homes with smaller groups, but thankful just the same.  This first picture is a collage of pictures from last year 2018.  Little babies are all walking around now and giving big hugs.  What a blessing to be a part of this wonderful loving family!

I want to be thankful...

I want to BE THANKFUL everyday, not just on Thanksgiving.  I read on FB this morning about a family who lost everything in a weekend fire.  It hit me with sadness for this family, I don't know them but will be trying to find a way to help.  This is just a reminder, all can be lost in a blink of an eye.  We witnessed that first hand when my Sister lost everything in the flood.  The kindness of strangers filled our hearts with thankfulness!  I will be thankful for this day!

We met Marc's Daughter Marcy and her fella Glenn for dinner last night.  Pho food, let's just say it isn't for me but we enjoyed our time together.  I forgot to get a picture, boohoo:(  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Thankful it is Sunday...

I am thankful it is Sunday and that Saturday is over.  My hubby had a really sick Friday night and Saturday.  He felt so bad that he hardly got off the sofa.  That Man is never sick and it made me sad to see him that way.  Let's just say we watched Football ALL day:)  Today is a new day and hopefully he is all better.  His Daughter Marcy is in town and we had plans to have dinner with her tonight.  I pray he feels like going!

Back home again...

We are back from our trip to visit Brooklyn and Autumn.  We celebrated Pa's B'day, ate some good food and visited their favorite play place.  What a sweet time we had and it's good to be back home.

Happy 72nd B'day and missing my Daddy...

This was a few years ago, he was chillin' in one of his favorite places.  He doesn't sit still much, he is probably listening to some Doobie Brother's:)  

He is 72 years old today!  Happy Birthday Marc!  I love you more than words could ever express.  34 years of those 72 we have been married.  I pray we will be together forever!

We will be spending Pa's Birthday with this little cutie and her Mama!  They give us SO much joy!

Today in 2016, my Daddy passed away on this very morning.  He passed away on Marc's birthday so I chose this picture of my Daddy and Mama at our wedding.  I love and miss you both every day of ever year!

Whew, busy weekend...

I am recovering after a very busy weekend.  Here are pictures from my Sister's 50th B'day party Saturday.  Lots of Church friends and family were there to enjoy the food and fellowship.

Yesterday was my Great-Niece-in-law Alicia's baby Sprinkle:)  They called it a Sprinkle because it wasn't a big shower, just a small sprinkle... how sweet!  There was SO much good food and LOTS of great gifts for this sweet baby girl coming in January "Kennedy June".  Love her name:)  I enjoyed it so much that I didn't want to leave!  My Niece Kelly throws the best parties!

Poof, November is half gone...

Poof... And just like that, November is half gone!  Can you believe it?  Me either!  Time flies right by and I haven't figured out how to slow it down.  I have always heard that the older you get the faster time goes and I am here to tell you, that's the truth.  Perhaps if we ALL lived by "one day at a time", it would help.  I try, trust me... Running errands...

I spent the entire day yesterday getting a new garage door opener installed.  If anyone needs a good company around these parts, I will share.  They certainly get a good review from me.  By 4:00PM we had a brand spanking new garage door opener that is so quiet that you can't even hear it:)  That was yesterday, today I have errands to run and rain is coming so I am gonna try to scurry out early and get back in.  I may or may not be doing this:)

Baby it's cold outside...

The Weather folks say it is 24 degrees, I say BRRR.  I love my fleece lined leggings when it is cold like this and love sitting in my chair with my heating pad:)  It is a great morning to enjoy my coffee and catch up on my blogger buddies.  My bag a week thrown away or donating continues.  Another one in the garbage for pick-up today.  Not much excitement here to report, we had soup and cornbread for dinner and it was yummilicious.  When it is cold, I could eat soup everyday:)

Veteran's Day 2019...

It is Veteran's Day and I am thankful for ALL who have served our Great Country!

Fun atop a mountain in Gatlinburg...

We made a road trip to celebrate Madison's 13th b'day.  WOW, how these grandchildren grow between visits.  We visited Gatlinburg and a place called Anakeesta!  It sits atop a mountain and the only way up and down is via sky-lift.  OOPS, I didn't really wanna do that but I did.  It was a fun day.  The girls, (minus me), zip-lined, we saw pretty trees, gorgeous mountains and ate some really tasty food.  The kids mined for gems which is something they love!

Top left, is a long skywalk 800' to be exact... another thing I wasn't really excited about but I did it:)  It went from tree to tree and was a little scary but we all made it!  Madison had a great day and so did we.  She loved her gifts from us and wanted a picture with me.  Golly gee, I sure love my grandkids... near and far!

Now we are back to reality, laundry to do, groceries to buy and that question that I ask myself every day... We celebrated Autumn and a surprise...

Just a quick post this morning to say, what a wonderful time we had celebrating Autumn's 24th B'day!  We shopped 'til we dropped, had lunch, back home for gifts and dinner... whew!  I was dragging when I got home but what a fun day!  Brooklyn was a trooper and hung right with us!  

Autumn, Seth and Brooklyn had a secret, now it isn't a secret anymore!  Brooklyn is gonna be a big sister:)  Her little shirt says "Big Sister Shark, do do do do do"  We are all very excited to be welcoming another Great-grandbaby June 2020!  My heart is full of love for my family!

Happy Birthday Autumn...

Today is my Granddaughter Autumn's 24th Birthday!  Happy Happy Birthday Autumn!  She was my first Grandchild and gave me the name "GANKY"!  She makes me smile every day with her sweet personality.  She gave me Brooklyn, my first Great-Grandchild and I will forever be their biggest fan!  I love you Autumn and can't wait to celebrate with you all day today!

Reunion, B'day party and time change...

The years fly right by and it was time for another Family Reunion on my Dad's side.  The crowd was the smallest ever but you know what?  I still enjoyed it.  We had plenty of good food, my Cousin Jean made a pound cake using her Mama's recipe and was it ever yummy!  My Aunt Dot in the pink, she is over 90 and still the sweetest:)  It was a great time!

I left the reunion early to go this sweetie's birthday party!  Beau (my great-great nephew) just turned the big ONE and I couldn't stand to miss out on his party.  This was a picture that I swiped from Facebook of him opening my gift:)

It was a really busy Saturday and now the time change has me up at the crack of dawn.  I turned all of the clocks back before bedtime last night thinking that I might be able to adjust a little better but NOPE.  The clock said 6:00, my body said 7:00.  So here I am.  My Sister Brenda is in the hospital and I think I will visit her instead of going to Church.  She said the food wasn't ALL THAT, so I will take her something yummy.  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!
