One day at a time...

This picture was shown a lot yesterday in different places.  I am proud that help has arrived in NY and on the West coast.  It is amazing all that the administration, Our President and the task force has been able to accomplish.  Daily, the numbers are staggering.  Each day we are one day closer to being back to normal, I BELIEVE that!

We are still quarantining here in our house.  I am learning to keep busy and even look forward to planning and cooking yummy dinners for us to enjoy. We watch TV in the evening and start a new day every morning.

One DAY AT A TIME!

Enjoy your day, stay strong and well my friends.  HUGS

Positive thinking...

This is what I am going to look forward to, going to the beach again.  NO CLUE as to how long it will be but when this is ALL over, I will sit in a chair on the beach and listen to the waves.  That day will come, be patient and have faith that this time we are in, won't last forever.  I look forward to that day.

Just some positive thinking this morning:)  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Safety first, HUGS when this is over...

Avery's birthday dinner request, chicken 'n dumplings and brownies for dessert, that's what her Mama made.  It was delicious!!!!  We took her gifts and enjoyed a couple hours with them while social distancing.  They have a really big house and staying 6 feet apart wasn't hard to do, EXCEPT that I really missed my hugs.  NO HUGS.  Safety first, HUGS will be plenty when this is all over.  It was a different kind of B'day celebration but Avery loved her gifts and I loved seeing them EVEN if it was at a distance.

Back to quarantining.  It is Sunday, Church will be on-line only and I'll be sitting with my coffee for a while longer.  We have plenty of food and I don't have to get out... for that I am thankful!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

My beautiful Avery!  14 years old, why can't time just stop flying by!  Happy Birthday pretty girl, Ganky and Pa love you SO MUCH!

Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

I miss how it used to be...

Quarantining still.  It has been two weeks since I took my Brother home from Rehab and since then, staying home is what I have been doing.  A few times out for groceries but that's it.  I pray we can get through this soon, I miss people!  I am thankful we are not sick and that the weather has been perfect, a great time to get outside.  I sat out by the pool for a little while yesterday, the sun was shining, there was a small breeze and the birds were singing happy songs.  We are hanging in there and I hope you are too.

Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

The dogwood blooms...

Good morning friends!  I get out a couple times a day to walk up and down my driveway.  The dogwoods are blooming and they are beautiful as always.  Easter is still a few weeks away, I hope the blooms last that long.

On one of my walks, I noticed this bush and the little red "somethings" in our woods.  Anybody know what this is?  I told Marc somebody out there might know.  It's the first time I have noticed it.

That's all I have this morning!  I am praying that the virus clears SOON and life gets back to normal.  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Senior hour...

Kroger Senior hour 7:00-8:00 AM and I was there to stock up on things we needed.  The parking lot was already full.  I pushed thru the store smiling at people but keeping that safe distance.  People my age and older getting just what they needed to make it until the next trip.  I am going to use everything I have and try not to go back.  Bottom right was my reward for shopping before the sun even came up.  This too shall pass and our Country will be back to normal, this too shall pass and our families will be back to normal!
REPEAT after me...

God bless your day!  Stay strong in your faith and prayers continue for normalcy to return.  HUGS!

Spring flowers and still staying home...

Still staying in but enjoying a little time outside in spite of the pollen.  We are seeing some signs of Spring and loving the blooms:)  Here are a few of my Spring flowers !

I love Pooh and had to share this!  Home, the best place to be right now!  I am tired of it, but staying home anyway!

I watched several Church services on-line yesterday and enjoyed hearing the singing and the sermons.  It isn't the life we all want to be living right now, but like this says, "I will take a few minutes to sit quietly and be thankful for all that I have".

Stay safe and healthy dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

And the people sat still...

We are all learning to make the most of our current situation.  I am choosing to stay positive while staying away from anyone outside my home.  For 9 days, two trips to the grocery store have been the only times that I have been out.  I sit outside for short times just to get out, but the pollen is so bad.  "This too shall pass", my favorite go to quote and it shall pass!  I am posting this picture from Facebook, it says how I feel about our future "yes, we will sit still, yes the earth will heal, yes Spring came, yes the flowers will bloom and hope and beauty will be back in our world".

Stay safe my friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

All dressed up and smiling big...

My Granddaughter Autumn and Great-Granddaughter Brooklyn are ALL dressed up and smiling BIG in this picture!  Why are they so happy and where are they going?

Daddy is home from Afghanistan and needed a ride:)  He has been gone for NINE months except for a short leave when his Grandmother passed away in September.  SO thankful he is home and safe!  Welcome home Seth!

This little girl has lots to show her Daddy, lots of things she has learned and lots of hugs to catch up on!

That smile on Seth's face says it all, happy to be back in the USA and with his little growing family!

The weather is nice and my self-quarantining continues.  It isn't fun but I am making the most of it.  I hope you all are staying safe and steering clear of contact with others.  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

It's a brand new day...

Just like this says, "It's a brand new day"!  These are some strange and really tough times for everyone.  Even though we aren't sick, we are all doing what we can to keep from getting sick or spreading this virus.  We are going to make it, that I truly believe.  I miss seeing people, but we will all be together again!

My Niece Shannon had to have surgery yesterday, prayers appreciated once again.  My Brother Marshall is doing good at home, I am thankful that he has the best wife ever to take care of him.  June is an angel here on Earth and I appreciate all she does!

Today is going to be a beautiful day and Spring arrives tonight just before midnight!  Enjoy your day dear friends!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

The Lord bless you and keep you...

I watched an on-line service on Sunday and these verses were part of his message!  With everyone doing what they can to survive during the Corona virus quarantine, I wanted to share this prayer with you!

I am staying in, getting some much needed rest and a few things checked off my list.  Getting out a little to walk up and down the driveway, I even ran to the grocery store before the crowd got there yesterday.  The fresh meat case was TOTALLY empty and there wasn't a single roll of toilet paper (which wasn't on my list of things I needed).  I bought ONLY the things I needed and scurried back into my home.  These are strange and scary times for all of us.  Stay safe my friends, you all mean so much to me!

Have a blessed day, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

I am the match in the middle...

Good morning friends!  This picture has been going around on social media and it is an example of how I am taking the advice from the experts about the Corona virus.  I have been at home since Friday, haven't seen anyone except my hubby.  I don't really like it but doing what I can to protect myself and others.  I am in that group (60 and up) and there is nothing I can do about that.  After all of the hospital visits and Rehab lately, I am thankful to be in my house with no symptoms.  There is always something to be thankful for.  I plan on being that match in the middle.  I sure would like to visit or even go do a little shopping (mostly because I can't).  BUT I WILL STAY HOME!

How are you all coping?  I am praying for ALL who are sick, for those who are "all of a sudden" having to home-school their children and for people like me just making it one day at a time staying inside piddling.  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

National Day of Prayer...

President Trump has called for a National Day of Prayer!  It's exactly what we need!

Our Church service was canceled but I had already decided to stay in!  Praying that we all stay safe and healthy!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Going home day...

Yesterday my Brother Marshall was scheduled to be released from Rehab and this is what met me at the door.  NO VISITORS were allowed in the Nursing Home/Rehab center due to the Corona virus.  The first thought I had was HOW can I get him out of there, perhaps crawl in his window:)  Just kidding but he was being discharged and I was gonna figure out what to do to get him out!  I explained to Mr. Security Guard that it was "coming home day" and he WAS coming home one way or another!  They took my temperature and let me in before I was about to go berserk:)

We got the room ALL packed up and he ate his lunch before we left.  Loaded up and buckled him in, off we went, windows cracked a little to let the fresh air in... it felt good and he was happy to be getting out of there.  HOME was where we were headed and HOME is where he is!

God has blessed us with lots of great doctors and nurses and I want to say "thank you" to all of you who have kept my Brother in your prayers!  I love him and hope that the days ahead are positive and that he gets a new leg in the not too distant future.  In the meantime, he has learned to move around without it.  God is good and I am thankful!  My Niece Kelly shared this picture on FB last night and I wanted to share it too.

He is home...

I have SO much to be thankful for this morning!  My Niece Shannon is improving too, she isn't out of the woods but better!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

This too shall pass...

When I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about all of the health issues in my family, this is what I thought "THIS TOO, SHALL PASS" and it will!  I appreciate your comments and prayers for my Niece Shannon.  She is still in ICU and still needs prayers.  I love my Family and pray each day is better than the day before!

If I am missing, it is for good reason!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

A big family...

We have a big one!  But having a big family makes for lots of family members having health issues and needing prayers.  I am asking once again for prayers.  My Sister Barbara's youngest daughter Shannon is in ICU with a number of issues.  I pray that she had a good night and that my Sister got to close her eyes for a little while.  Thank you in advance for your prayers for this family!

It looks like it is gonna be a beautiful day here with more rain starting tomorrow.  I will enjoy today's sunshine!  Have a blessed day, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Not my favorite, but it's time...

The time change gets me twice a year, but this one gets me worse!  It is time to change EVERY clock ahead one hour.  I complain, but it is what it is.  Before bedtime tonight, the clocks will get moved, it will be dark when we get up in the morning and my husband will work outside an hour longer each day.  Spring is just around the corner and that part will be nice:)

Have a blessed day dear friends, take a little nap today because you will need it tomorrow:)  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

There's nothing like SUNSHINE...

We haven't had much Winter weather but ladies, we have had SO MUCH RAIN!  Not today... or several days ahead, it is supposed to be SUNNY and I plan on enjoying it while it's here:)  Bad weather, like troubles and sickness, doesn't last forever.  It is going to be a glorious day, I feel it!

Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Let's do nothing all day...

This looks like me today:)  Well, I am gonna try to accomplish something but it won't be a lot!  RAIN... We got a break yesterday after the morning storms!  It turned out to be a good day but raining again this morning.  My Brother is doing good at rehab and we had a nice visit yesterday.  Marshall's story-telling and his memory of details is something else!  I sit and listen, enjoying hearing his stories of long ago:)

Not much to share this morning but that I am thankful to be up and at 'em, coffee is hot and the day is mine.  Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Praise reports...

This is my Sister Brenda, you all have prayed for her and I thank you for each prayer prayed.  She had a doctor appointment yesterday and looked so pretty, I had to share a picture!  She has been sick for a FULL year and is doing SO good right now.  She was sporting her new top that I gave her for her birthday:)  Keep up the good work Brenda, I am SO proud of your accomplishments.  I love you!

Another praise report, my Sister-in-law June finished her year of Chemo and got to ring the bell.  Of course her cheerleaders (daughters) were right there with her just like they always are.  I love you June and pray you have the best days ahead!

It's raining today (DUH as always it seems)!   I am about put a roast in the crock-pot with lots of yummy veggies for dinner and getting this day going!  Prayers for all in Tennessee affected by the tornado and all who are sick all over the world with the Coronavirus!  I pray you all have a wonderfully blessed day, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Wait, where's my phone...

That's how my day started yesterday!  I always call my Sister Barbara on my way to Church but WAIT... my phone wouldn't connect to my Bluetooth.  Guess why?   The phone was laying on the kitchen table.  So, I borrowed my Brother-in-law Jeff's phone to call my husband and let him know.  It is amazing how much we depend on our phones.  As soon as Church was over, I stopped by to visit Marshall at Rehab and home to get my phone.  One thing this taught me, write down important phone #s, I could only remember TWO numbers Marc's and Tracy's!  And the camera, how often do we use that camera?  I wanted to show Marshall the flowers they sent me, I said OH NO, the pictures are on my phone!  All is well now, the phone is in my lap!

I am drinking my coffee and getting ready to take my Sister Brenda to the doctor.  I hope you all have a wonderful day!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!
