Goodies for me and a 2 month old...

A box full of Birthday goodies from my Nieces:)  Don't 'cha just love getting to try new things.  This box had a bunch of their favorite things and will now be mine.  Thank you Kelly, Crystal and Suzanne!  I am loving it all!  The bracelet is my favorite!

Here are two things you ladies might want to try!  The Peachy Clean scrubs and the Skoy Sponge Cloths!  I am in love with both of them.  Sometimes you need to be introduced to new products to see how much you need them:)  The ice roller is my next thing to try:)  I sure need it!

My little Great-Grandson Jameson is 2 months old today!  I sure do miss him and his big sister Brooklyn.  It was great when we were on vacation to get to see them every day.  If you live close to the little ones in your life, you are so lucky!  Some day they will be closer... sigh!

I am enjoying my coffee this morning and slowly getting my day going.  I took a break yesterday and honestly did NOTHING most of the day:)  We need a day to recharge, that was my yesterday.  I hope you all are having a good day, staying safe and well is my goal in life and I pray the same for you!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

A rainy afternoon was perfect...

I visited my Sister yesterday and reporting that she is doing well.  She is resting a lot and will heal as each day goes by.  As I returned home and decided to rest a little before getting dinner going... the sound of rain was music to my ears.  The pool was getting kinda low and it hurts to have to put water in it.  The sky opened up and the rain came, heavy rain that filled the pool, just the right amount.  Thank you Lord for the rain!  I didn't actually play in the puddles but was smiling from inside looking out the window:)

I hope your day is blessed!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Enjoy the little things...

We have all had a different kind of year, haven't we?  The days come and go, the weeks come and go... not much changes.  The virus has taken a toll on our lives, thankful that it hasn't hit our family.  I try always to "Enjoy the little things in life", these days the little things mean more than ever.  Just thinking this morning:)

Have a blessed day dear friends, looks like today comes with a little sunshine, a little rain... and that's OK with me!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Thank you and HI...

Thank you for your prayers, my Sister Cindy's surgery was delayed yesterday but when they finally took her in... it was a success.  She is at home resting.

ME?  I am working away at areas in my house that need attention AND THERE ARE MANY.  I stopped to eat a sandwich and thought I would pop in to say HI:)  SO... "HI"

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.  I will be busy doing things that aren't fun but necessary!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Prayers and moving mountains...

My Sister Cindy is having surgery today and I would appreciate you saying a prayer for her.  It is gall bladder surgery and I pray all goes well.  It is sad in these times that you just have to be dropped off and nobody can stay with you:(  It seems as though the gall bladder is something you just don't have to have.  Praying for you Cindy!  Love you!

I stayed in again yesterday and watched the Church Service on-line! I am back to my old ways of NOT going anywhere, got nowhere to go so just stay in!  I cleaned out REALLY old receipts, mail that I didn't need to keep and junk removal.  I guess if we do it a little at a time, it's not so bad!  SO... I already have a goal for what to accomplish today:)  "Moving a mountain, one rock at a time"!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Let not your heart be troubled...

Hope your Sunday is truly blessed!
This verse... Peace

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Wake up, drink coffee, choose joy...

When I am blessed that the Lord lets me open my eyes each day, I drink my coffee and choose joy!  If your goal in the day is JOY, the obstacles you face trying to steal your JOY are a little easier to jump over.  Sometimes you have to crawl over them or crawl under them... but JOY is my goal in each day.

My day yesterday, I never left the house except to do a few things outside.  We had a MEXICAN fiesta for dinner:)  Taco salad, chips and cheese dip... it was delicious!  We settled in to catch up on Yellowstone and off to sleepy-land.  Today, I plan to finish putting away vacation clothes!  It's about time since they have been sitting there for a week and it has been on my list but never checked off:)  Enjoy your day whatever you do, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Roses on the kitchen table...

Pretty roses on the kitchen table.  I visited Henrietta yesterday, took lunch and SO enjoyed my visit with her.  She was so happy to see me and that did my heart good.  We talked about everything, our family and theirs.  She was my Mama's Best Friend and her daughter Celene is my Best Friend.

I stood at the bookshelf in the den and enjoyed looking at all of the old pictures.  Golly gee, I love pictures.  Sadly these days most of the pictures are in our phones.  I love this family and they are sure taking care of their Mama.  She bragged on the girls for coming to help her every day and I know the boys take care of the yard.  It was immaculate as it always has been.

That's what I did yesterday and SO happy that I got to spend some time with Henrietta.  Came home, short nap and I made a yummy/simple casserole for dinner from rotisserie chicken and broccoli.  OH HONEY it was delicious.  Corn on the cob, buttered... wrapped in foil and baked in the oven.  Simple way to cook corn and so yummy!  Now to get on with my day, after coffee, of course.  No plans for this 'ole gal, perhaps some chores around the house!  Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Peeking thru the fence...

Good morning, just "peeking in" to say HI and hope you have a great day!  My Granddaughter Autumn sends me the cutest pictures everyday:)  I had to share this one of my GREAT-Granddaughter Brooklyn peeking thru the fence on their property:)  What is on the other side of your fence today?

I have errands to run and hopefully will make it to visit my Friend Celene's Mama.  Henrietta is SO special to me and I promised her on her 92nd birthday that she can count on a visit soon.  Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Bare cupboards, baseball and school supplies...

After returning from vacation, our cupboards were bare.  Not anymore.  I shopped until I dropped and bought about two weeks of groceries.  It was a huge job and now it is done.  Does anyone else enjoy looking at the school supplies?  There aren't any school kids in my house but the school supply aisle always draws me in:)

If you are new to my blog, you may not know that we love watching sports.  Our baseball team was on TV last night and what a game it was.  You just can never give up on those BRAVES.  They won after being down 6-0!  A walk off homer in the bottom of the 9th got the job done.  WOW, thanks for the return of baseball and a great game!

Now it is Wednesday, the week is chugging right along.  There is laundry to be done and the suitcases are still sitting in the floor waiting to be emptied of things not worn while on vacation.  SO... better finish this cup of coffee and get busy.  I pray you have a wonderful day!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Siblings visiting together, so special...

Four Siblings and one puppy:)  Brother Marshall, me, Brother Leon and Sister Cindy.  Marshall, Cindy, Sister-in-law June and I traveled to Leon and Becky's for a visit.  They live out in the country where the air is clear and it is a peaceful setting!  We had a nice long visit, Becky had made yummy chicken salad for lunch and Leon made a churn full of home-made ice cream for dessert!  We talked and laughed on the way there and back and had some great conversation about the good 'ole days while we were all together!  When it was time to go, needed to get a picture to remember this day... so we did!  I love my family!

After I dropped them off, I visited my Sister Brenda.  She was sitting at the glass front door waiting on me.  I got a big hug, stayed for a short visit and back home.  Today is grocery shopping day for me and I want to knock that out early:)  Gotta get some chores done around the house that have been pushed aside for other things.  Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Trying to get back in the swing of things...

It is always nice to visit the beach but also nice to come home.  I am trying to get back in the swing of things but moving pretty slow:)  This was in our beach house and it is true!

A pretty sunset that I caught one night.  It usually set about dinner time for us.  Tracy pointed out the cross on the Church to the left!  Love it!

As we crossed the bridge over to the house, boaters were busy enjoying the day!

AND the last night sitting on the balcony.  Peaceful, easy feeling...

Yesterday I drove up to meet this bunch!  They were having lunch after Church.  My Sister Cindy's family.  Bradley was in town from Kentucky and I just needed to see them.  Love them ALL SO much!

I am out most of the day but will be checking in on you all when I return.  I promise to be a better BLOG FRIEND this week as things get back to normal.  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Relax...

My vacation week in pictures.  The house we are staying in has plenty of room for everyone to relax and that's what we have done.  We have stayed in and eaten so much good food.  We shopped for groceries a couple times and otherwise stayed at the house, the pool and the beach.  It has been a wonderful time!

Brooklyn's birthday party was delayed but she didn't care:)  We celebrated this little TWOdles #2 Mickey Mouse style!

What a fun birthday party, all of our family, Austin's girl Lexi and Avery and Alex each brought a friend.  We showered Brooklyn with love and gifts and yes, we all wore Mickey/Minnie mouse ears.

Brooklyn looking sassy having fun in the pool:)

Jameson snuggling with his Ganky:)  I sure enjoyed my little snugglebug early in the morning and any other time he wanted to snuggle.

Family pics was the main thing on our agenda yesterday and we got it done.

Autumn and family

 Tracy, Derek and family

Ganky, Pa and family

Down to the beach for a few pictures...

FOUR Generations, my heart couldn't hardly take this one!

Our family...

All of us.

Just checking in.  We are on our last day and we plan to enjoy it beginning to end.  Hope you all are doing well.  Missing my blog buddies but have enjoyed this week relaxing.  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

The OCEAN fixes everything...

This may not be exactly true but it sure fixes a lot of things.  I am looking forward to seeing the ocean, feeling the breeze on my face and watching my family splishing and splashing.  If you miss me, that's what I'll be doing.

This was a peek at last year...

I always take this little book and this year we will have TWO babies to enjoy:)

Enjoy your day dear friends, I'll have a busy day!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Living an unplugged life...

What would life look like if we just unplugged all forms of media.  I did that yesterday.  My cell phone service was on and off for much of the day.  It was kinda nice not to have it pulling on me:)  I posted my blog yesterday morning and closed my laptop.  I spent the day puttering around the house, did some laundry and making piles for vacation.  The TV was on at times but honestly it wasn't being watched.  Sometimes I wish we could go back to simpler times that I remember from my childhood.  Sitting under the old oak tree in the front yard, Mama shucking corn and shelling peas while the kids were playing in the dirt.  AHHHHH... the good 'ole days sure look good in my memories.

Just reminiscing this morning!  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Happy B'day Anna, a visit and more rain...

Happy Birthday to my Step-Daughter Anna!  I hope you have a wonderful day, your Dad and I love you very much!  We appreciate all you do for our Grandchildren.  I pray that Maybree gets some help from the doctors this week.

I visited my Brother Marshall and Sister-in-law June yesterday.  It was a very nice visit.  I hadn't seen them in MONTHS!  This stinking virus has been keeping us all separated from our families and friends.  I pray it is all gone before too long and we can get back to somewhat normal.  Thank you all for your input on the NEW BLOGGER, I will try it before I am thrown into it.  It's steady raining this morning, I will find some inside things to keep me busy!

Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

I don't like change...

Let me just start out by saying "I DON'T LIKE CHANGE"!  Just keep things like they are and I am fine, but BLOGGER says it is changing to a NEW Blogger.  I haven't tried it and will be kicked to the new way at the end of the month.  This post is asking for feedback/tips to make the transition a bit easier for this old gal.  What changed or what was lost from the old Blogger?  Any input is welcomed.

My Granddaughter Maybree is still having a few seizures but her Parents are learning how to get her through them.  She has a number of appointments this week.  Thank you all for praying and for asking about her.  Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

The 4th and Happy B'day Leon...

My Sister Cindy and her husband Jeff came to swim yesterday.  Cindy made this delicious homemade ice cream, it tasted exactly like a Wendy's Frosty.  SO Delicious and refreshing on a hot day.

Marc and I settled in after dinner to watch the fireworks on TV.  SO many people were shooting them around our house last night.  IT was very loud.  The ones on TV were great and with the sound outside, it was like we were actually there:)

Today is my Brother Leon's 73rd Birthday.  This picture was a couple years ago.  I love you Leon and hope you have a relaxing day!

AND the whole crew, Brothers and Sisters.  We always get a picture when we are all together.  Love them all SO much.

Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Thank you and Happy July 4th...

Thank you all for praying for my Granddaughter Maybree.  She is out of the hospital and back home.  They don't know what is making her have the seizures but have ruled out some things.  She will follow-up with several doctors next week.  Thanks again for your prayers and sweet comments of encouragement.  Blog friends are the BEST!

Happy Independence DAY 2020

Please join me in prayer...

My 12 year old Granddaughter Maybree was admitted to the hospital yesterday after several trips to the ER.  She started having seizures and they are running tests to see what is causing them.  Please join me in prayer for her that they will get some answers and treatment to keep her from having them.  We took this picture on our recent visit.  I love you Maybree and hope you feel all better soon.

Thank you all for praying!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Another quick trip...

My Granddaughter Autumn needed us, we threw a bag together and off we went.  It was a fast trip there and back but we enjoyed it!  Autumn's husband Seth had to do a couple night's away with the Army and she had an appointment for little Jameson.  They don't allow the siblings to go (because of the virus), so Brooklyn needed someone to stay with her.  Jameson is a month old now and growing like a weed.  Brooklyn's vocabulary is amazing.  She carries on a conversation and repeats everything we say.  What a joy they are in my life.

Anyway, we are back home and the day awaits.  Enjoy your day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!
