Thank you, recipe and b'days...

Thank you to all who reached out about my little Great-Grandson Jameson while he was sick.  Thank you for your prayers, thankfully he is much better.  Little ones bounce back much quicker than us old folks.  I visited them one day this week and we had a grand 'ole time.  Autumn's friends gifted the kids with SO many cute and fun things to make them smile and they sure had fun.  It was like Christmas.

On Thursday, I went with my Niece Britani to take her sweet little baby boy Colton for his one month doctor check-up.  Isn't he a little doll:)

Yesterday I cleaned an area in my laundry room (a catch-all area) and it took me ALL DAY LONG.  I am SO proud to have that area looking much better.  I had a doctor appointment this week and checked that off my list:)

One day this week, I made these yummilicious zucchini boats.  They were SO good, I thought I would share.  My daughter Tracy gave me the recipe and since I didn't have everything that it called for, I made a few changes.  We love Zucchini:)  RECIPE HERE

My Sister Barbara's birthday is tomorrow and My Mama's is Monday.  I have been working this morning making Fall arrangements for my Mama and Daddy's grave.  I will be visiting tomorrow or Monday to freshen up the cemetery.  I miss them SO much.  Barbara would be 80 tomorrow and Mama would be 97 on Monday.  Barbara has a new family member to celebrate her Heavenly birthday, her daughter Shannon:(  There are too many of my loved ones in Heaven now, I miss them all.  I always posted this picture of us on Barbara's birthday and so I will...

My Mama and me...  Happy Heavenly Birthday Mama, I love you and miss you every day of my life.  One thing I keep being reminded of, life is short... visit family and friends.  Take a picture when you are together.  After they are gone, that's all you have... pictures and memories.

I hope you all are having a great day, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

It’s been a rough week…

It's been a rough week for our family.  We lost my Niece Shannon on Saturday August 13th.  She was only 51. We gathered as a family to pay our respects and give her a nice funeral.  We put together a collage of pictures showing happier and healthier times.  Lots of childhood pictures that made us all take a trip back in time.  RIP Shannon.  Prayers appreciated for Jerry her Dad, her Brother Scott, Sonia her Sister and children Brandon and Savannah.  They have all suffered another loss and their hearts are hurting.  Shannon is now with her Mama and I know that was a special reunion🙏🏼

My little Great-Grandson was in the hospital over the weekend twice with croup.  He is back at home and I pray he is all better.  He was so brave thru all of this and I am very proud of you Jameson.   We love you SO much❤️

Now it's Tuesday already, my cup of coffee is tasting mighty good.  Thankful Tuesday, I will be thankful on this Tuesday for so much and so many.  I will be thankful that Jameson is on the mend. I will be thankful that I got to be with lots of family members over the past few days even for a sad occasion, it's good to be surrounded by family.

Have a blessed day dear friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

It’s what's been happening…

Babies grow up really fast, I don't like to miss days with them.  SO... I visited my Niece Britani and her little baby Colton.  I got some sweet snuggles.  He is such a sweetheart and I sure love him.

I enjoyed a visit with my Sister Cindy and Sister-in-law June.  I always take a video of my Brother Marshall's windmill.  It gives me peace and I feel like he knows I am there.  I visited the cemetery too and had a chat with him.

My Hibiscus is still SO pretty.  I love yellow.  After I walked around watering all of my plants, went in to put dinner on the table... and it came a big rain.  Oh well, I didn't know:0

My Granddaughters started School Wednesday.  Alex is a Senior this year and Avery is a Junior.  Look at this picture from the first day of School and from many years ago sitting on the little school bench.  I love them SO much and hope they have the best year ever.  Don't blink, time goes by way too fast.

What a beauty I discovered in my backyard.  After research, it is called a passion flower.  Have any of you ever had these?

A yellow rose is blooming too.  My Sister Brenda gave me this rosebush so long ago.  I love the memories that I have of my Siblings.

I worked outside a lot this week, trimming bushes and cutting back my hydrangeas.  My niece Crystal gave me this wooden holder with glass bulb vases for my birthday and I keep something pretty in it all the time. These were some of my final blooming hydrangeas.  When I don't have anything blooming, I am going to use it to root some of my plants.

AND a prayer request.  My Niece Shannon is in the hospital.  She is only 51 and is not doing good.  I am not sure all the details but she fell, has a brain hemorrhage and is on life support.  If you have followed me for any time at all, this is my oldest Sister Barbara's daughter.  Please pray for Shannon and her Daddy Jerry.  He has taken care of everyone since my sister Barbara passed away.  Thank you in advance.

Have a blessed evening, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Sleepover at Ganky's and other stuff...

We had a sleepover with these two GREAT-Grands and to say we enjoyed it would be a huge understatement.  They were SO excited to be visiting us that they were ready early with their back-packs:0  Thanks Autumn for the picture!

We played, we talked, we painted... they always enjoy playing with the old toys that we have saved from years ago.  When they came in, Brooklyn said "where are the toys".  So we pulled them all out.  Jameson had a really good time painting with his Sister.

Yesterday morning, they made a long train of chairs that they called their car:)  I love watching their little minds work and hear them planning each chair and who sits where.  LOVED seeing these cuties in the early morning!  When we woke up Brooklyn said "you are the best Ganky ever" and "I love you SO much Ganky".  Jameson says "I love you Ganky".  My heart just melts.

And because they fell asleep before we had time to read at bedtime, we read MY favorite book before they went home.  This book has been read for many years to ALL of the Grandchildren and now Great-Grandchildren.  JUST GRANDMA AND ME

I shopped a little on Sunday at an antique mall with my Best Friends AKA my Daughter Tracy and Granddaughter Autumn.  Rarely do we get to do this just the 3 of us so we took advantage of the time.

My Granddaughter Alex is now a Senior.  Their school lets them paint their parking space.  This is Alex's:)  I told her it makes me smile!  I know she appreciates her Mama and all of the help getting the many paint colors to make it just like she wanted it.

I have been busy doing daily duties, there hasn't been much to blog about... hence the little break.  I can't believe it is already Thursday.  Dang the week sure flies by.  August is here, still hot and humid where we are.  I hope you all have a wonderful day.  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!
